Lando's POV

"You seem a bit nervous mate?" Jon, my trainer, asked.

I was a bit nervous, definitely was, but I wasn't gonna admit to that.

Ivy was coming today, she texted me a few hours ago that she was on her way and my heart started beating faster instantly.

"So this girl is coming today.." I mumbled and I immediately got his attention. "What girl?"

I grabbed my phone, showed him Ivy's profile, with her beautiful pictures, but she was even more beautiful when I was FaceTiming her.

So I was definitely nervous to meet her for real. She was way out of my league.

"I can see why you're nervous then" he chuckled.

Ivy

I am here
In front of the paddock

Okay don't move
I'm coming

I walked to the entrance of the paddock. I was already wearing my racing suit, which was hanging down my waist.

I wanted to wear something better, something nicer, but I had to be in the car soon, so I had no choice.

I would wear something nice when I took her out for dinner.

She was standing at the entrance, together with her friend, but fuck, some people looked better on pictures, she definitely looked better in real life.

And she already looked beautiful on her pictures.

Oh she was so out of my league.

I scanned my paddock pass, walked to her and my heart was beating so damn fast.

Don't mess this up please.

"Hi Ivy" I said, she turned around, looked at me and instantly smiled. "Hi Lando!"

"Fuck, you look absolutely beautiful" I looked at her, her beautiful blue eyes looked back in mine.

"Thank you, you look handsome as well" she smiled before her friend nudged her. "Oh, this is Molly by the way, she's my friend"

"Hi Lando" her friend smiled at me "Hello" I quickly nodded at her before looking back at Ivy.

"So here are your paddock passes" I said as I gave them to her, and even a quick touch of our hands gave me chills.

"Oh great! Thanks" she smiled, gave her friend the other paddock pass. "So I'll show you the hospitality" I said.

She nodded. Walked next to me as I was showing her around. She looked around, she was clearly impressed with all of this.

And I was impressed with her.

"So this is my hospitality" I pointed at the hospitality and walked in with her. "You want something to drink?"

"I could do with a Coke" she smiled, the most beautiful smile I've ever seen. "And you?" I looked at her friend.

"Water is fine"

"Water and a Coke, wait here" I said, quickly walked to the counter.

While I was waiting for their drinks, I leaned back and looked at Ivy. She was talking to her friend, even though they didn't really look friends.

Her friend looked mad, grumpy.

I already regretted giving her a paddock pass if she was gonna be ungrateful like that.

At least Ivy looked excited to be here.

I walked back with the Coke and water, handed it to them. We talked for a little while, but honestly, I didn't want to be rude, but I desperately wanted to talk to her alone.

Without her friend.

For some reason, she seemed different now her friend was around, maybe a bit distant?

But it would be rude to tell her friend to go away.

"So about that dinner, are you free tonight?" I asked. She frowned a little. "Dinner?"

"Yeah? We texted about that remember?"

"Oh right!" She quickly said. "Yeah I'm free tonight"

"I thought we were going to dinner together?" Her friend interrupted our conversation as she looked at Ivy.

"Uh, I-don't kn-" Ivy stuttered. I kinda felt bad for her, didn't want her to choose between her friend and me.

But I also didn't want to ask her friend to go with us.

"We can go to dinner tomorrow, if you're free?" I suggested. "So you can go to dinner with your friend today"

Ivy didn't respond, she looked at her friend who just shrugged and then she looked back at me.

"Yeah perfect! Then we will go to dinner tomorrow" she said enthusiastically.

Damn, I couldn't get over how beautiful she was.

I would even go to a veggie restaurant for her.
