A couple of weeks have passed and Molly didn't bother me anymore.

I don't know if she was still talking to Lando or not, but I was fairly certain she was. She was always smiling at her phone, and texting whenever she could.

"Are you okay Ivy?" Fay, my best friend asked. "Yeah, I'm just tired" I shrugged.

She was the only one who knew that I wasn't rich, that I worked in a supermarket to help my mom.

To be fair, I never claimed to be rich, never said I was. People liked assuming things.

"You were MIA all weekend, where were you?" She asked. "At Silverstone, I watched quali"

"Oh no you didn't!" She nudged me. "Why didn't you take me?"

I shrugged. Because I was being blackmailed by Molly of all people.

"It was a last minute decision" I just said. Which wasn't a lie.

We walked out of college, our classes were done.

I noticed that Molly was looking at me the entire time.

When I walked out of the building, I noticed how everyone was staring in the same direction.

"Something is going on there" Fay said as she grabbed my arm and pulled me in their direction.

And my heart stopped for a minute.

Lando was leaning against his car, he was looking down at his phone, probably texting Molly.

She probably told him where she goes to college, which was obviously the same college as I went to.

"Is that-" Fay frowned. "Lando Norris" I mumbled.

Just as I said his name, he looked up from his phone and smiled at me. He nodded his head.

"Is he looking at us?" Fay asked. "He sure is"

I walked up to him, my heart was beating so fast. What was I supposed to do right now?

"So Ivy.." he said. "Since you didn't want to come to Monaco, I guess I had no choice than to come to you"

"You didn't have to" I mumbled, looked around to see if Molly was around or not.

"I said I wanted to take you on a second date, and you kinda ditched me" he raised his eyebrow. "We can't have that, right?"

"No, we definitely can't have tha-"

"Lando! What are you doing here?" Molly interrupted us as she stood next to me.

I wanted to roll my eyes, why was she so annoying?

"Uh-I-do I know you?"

"I was at Silverstone too, I'm her friend" she pointed at me.

"Oh right yeah" he nodded, smiled politely before looking back at me. "You wanna get out of here?"

"Yeah I actually do" I said, looked at Molly and smiled. "Bye Molly"

The look on her face was priceless.

I sat down next to Lando in his car, a fucking Mclaren.

"Fuck, this car is amazing" I said as I looked around his car.

"I kinda wanted to impress you" he admitted with a smile.

"Material things don't really impress me, you impress me because you're sweet and kind" I smiled.

Fair enough, this car did impress me, but I didn't want him to think I liked him because he was rich.

I couldn't care less.

He looked at me with a frown, then looked back at the road soon after. "I like that" he nodded.

"Your friend is kinda clingy, isn't she?" He chuckled a little, but I could tell he thought it was pretty weird.

"Yeah she is" I nodded. I was done defending her. "Where are we going?"

"I am taking you to my place" he said with a smile. "I am gonna cook for you"

"You cook?" I asked in surprise.

"Nah not really" he shrugged and laughed. "But I can cut some vegetables"

Oh right, he thought I was vegetarian. Also something I had to come clean about.

This was gonna be an interesting evening.
