"Ellis, calm it down. It's been a couple days since the first public outing, I want you two to go to dinner tonight. Somewhere nice. You know the good spots. Love you kiddo" Ben says before hanging up the phone.

This isn't what anyone wants so early in the morning.

Ellis rolled her eyes knowing what she'd have to do.

"Hey blondie, are you awake?" Ellis tapped on Violets door.

"Fuck off."

"Are you naked?"

"You are on thin ice Ellis. Fuck. Off."

Ellis opens the door anyway.

"I could've been naked."

"So?"

Violet rolls her eyes, which seemed to be all she ever did at Ellis.

"Anyways, me and you are going to dinner at 6, it's a fancy restaurant so wear something as such. Do you have a nice dinner dress?"

Violet looked down and shook her head.

"Here, take this. My driver will take you to Rodeo drive, you can get some new clothes there." Ellis handed Violet her bank card.

Violet was stunned.

"Ellis, I wouldn't know where to start looking for an outfit like that... are you sure?"

"Yeah blondie, no pretend girlfriend of mine is walking around in anything but the best style. Fuck it, I'll tell him to pick Lindsay up on the way, she'll know what outfits I'm talking about."

Violet was surprised Ellis was being actually semi decent to her this morning after their argument last night. She supposed they had no choice but to be together so it's no harm in trying to be friends but you'd think by now she would give up.

As Violet wandered around various luxury stores, with Lindsay following picking up dresses and shoes and skirts and blouses, she thought how insane it would be if this was her everyday life.

"This will be your everyday life someday, boo. Only it'll have to be your own card, you won't be able to tap Ellis Hardy's card here and there for whatever you want." Lindsay laughed, piling the shopping bags into the back of the Range Rover. Violet just rolled her eyes and laughed in response.

"So how's things with you two anyway?" Lindsay questioned.

"It's not good. We don't get along with each other at all, we're either screaming at each other or point blank ignoring each other. I guess we're just too different."

Lindsay just shook her head and stared out the window,  "Everyone online seems to think you're a good match, you suit each other. Maybe not personality wise , though, but they don't need to know that."

Violets mind wandered off, as she thought about what it would be like to actually be Ellis' girlfriend. There must be some nice and loving side to the really annoying and rude girl, she wondered what it would be like to actually experience it. Not that she ever would want to. She forced herself out of those thoughts and focused on the song playing over the radio and the road in front of them.

Ellis waited in the kitchen for Violet to finish getting ready. She wore a short sleeved white shirt with grey trousers and black slip-ons. Violet walked out of her room in a gorgeous silver dress that hugged her body in the right places.
