Year 3: Pre-Hogwarts Shenanigans

     "Muuuuuuuuuum" Y/n called into her classroom, dressed and ready. "And where are you going, Y/n?" Minnie asked sternly, looking at her dressed up. "I was thinking, since Uncle Moony is coming to Hogwarts on the train, you would let me ride it this year. The reason I'm dressed now is because Hermione, Harry, and Ron are all at the Leaky Caldron and Mrs. Weasley even said I can stay with them for the night!!" She showed her mother the letter Ginny had sent, a part in Mrs. Weasleys handwriting. Your mother took the letter and read it. She sighed giving it back to you. "Fine. Only if you promise to be safe and help Mrs. Weasley with supper and breakfast." Y/n squeeled and hugged her mum happily, then ran to the fireplace and grabbed some floo powder, yelling "The Leaky Cauldron!!" As she spun away, Minnie chuckled and thought about the letter. "That girl and her love for those friends." A voice came behind her and said "Her friends are very interesting if I say the very least." Minnie gasped and turned around, hitting Severus with a book. "Severus!! Stop sneaking up on me like that!!"

As Y/n made it to the Leaky Cauldron, she smiled and ran over to her friends. "Mionie!!!" She yelled, causing some people to look over at her. Hermione, her bushy haired friend, hugged her closely and smiled. "Y/nn! (Your nickname) How was your summer?" She questioned. "Boring without my favorite people!!" Y/n giggled, pulling away from Hermione and looking around for her other friends. She saw George and Fred and politely gave them a hug. She giggled with Ginny as she said she was able to stay over, causing the 2 girls to squeal to. As she was looking around for her 2 boy friends, she spot Ronald first. She ran up behind him and hugged him, squeezing his shoulders. "Ronald!!" She smiled up at him. "Oi-! Oh Y/N!!" He said excitedly, turning around and hugging her back the proper way. They hugged for what seemed to be a few seconds to long, earning a glare from Fred and a smirk from George. She pulled away and smiled, then walked over to her other friend, Harry Potter.

"Harry!!" She called out, walking to the boy and hugging him. He seemed to be a little distracted but he played it off and hugged her back, untensing a little. "Are you alright Harry?" She whispered in his ear. "I'll tell you in the common room, meet me at midnight." Y/n nodded and went to sit with her friends, sitting on the end next to Ron and across from
Hermione. She looked around at the Leaky Cauldron, when she saw the poster. The dreaded poster with her father plastered onto it.

    Time had seemed to stop. She just stared at it, her breathing picking up. Her leg started to bounce and she just looked down at her necklace then at the poster. The only thing running in her mind was "Dad escaped.?" She thought with her vision getting blurry.

    Then, she heard a voice. Well a few actually. "Y/n?" Hermione asked, being the loudest. looking up at her. Ron nudged Y/n and pointed at Hermione. "Hm? Yeah Mione?" She said with shaky breath. "How come your mums actually allowing you to go to the Leaky Cauldron this close to school?" Hermione asked, sipping her butter beer. "Oh uhm, I'm staying at the Weasleys with Ginny, since my Uncle is going to be the new dada teacher!" Ron was taking a sip of his butter beer, then chocked a little when he heard you were going to stay over at their house. You all talked for what seemed to be hours, but realistically was about 50 minutes until Hermione had to leave, and Harry was exhausted so he went up to him room, having already paid for it.

     Y/n couldn't sleep. She checked the clock in Ginny's room. It was 3:09. She opened her door quietly and stumbled down the stairs to the couch, sitting on it and grabbing a book to read for a little. Y/n was so upset and confused she got through about 2 pages then stopped and just stared at the ground. Y/n looked to her right, hearing the stairs creek as Ron came down. He sat next to her and yawned. "You alright Y/nn?" He asked, putting a hand on your back and rubbing it. "No.. but you don't have to listen to me. Trust me Ron I'm fine." She smiled up at him, happy he was there to comfort her. The 2 just sat there in silence, until Ron yawned again.
