Jasmine was out like a light. I just put her to bed.
It was like midnight or 1 am I'm not sure. My parents finally came home, I was in basketball shorts & a white wife beater.
"Alani what are you doing up?" My dad said, entering the kitchen. I jumped at the sudden sound of his voice.
"Just woke up for water"
I heard an unfamiliar voice, "this a nice crib Carlos" the voice had a Spanish accent.
My dad sighed annoyed. I saw a tall man who looked like my dad but older.
"Lani this is Ringo your uncle or whatever, he took care of you when you were a baby" my dad explained.
Dad & mom had me at a young age at 17 so he probably did take care of me. "¿Tu papá te enseñó a hablar español o te dejó colonizar?" He joked in Spanish laughing.
"No, él no me dejó colonizar. Hablo español" I responded.
He smiled proudly, "you live in a white neighbourhood ay though you got white washed"
I laughed but it shouldn't be funny,"goodnight" I said going up the stairs.
"Goodnight!" My dad said back.
I saw Kevin come out of Jasmines room, he was meowing loudly. "Shush Kevin Jasmine is sleeping"
He meowed even louder. He ignored me going downstairs, he missed a step rolling down the stairs a big tud was heard.
Everyone look at the bottom of the stairs seeing Kevin layed out on the floor. Then got up like it was nothing, I swear this cat is gonna outlive us.

I was at the park, guess who I saw!
Officer Jenkins was there! Haven't seen him in about almost a year. He gained weight since he wasn't chasing after me anymore.
"OFFICER JENKINS!" I yelled across the play ground as I walked up to him.
He looked happy,"hello trouble maker,shoplifter, stealer,liar-"
"Okay woah now don't put me on blast" I interrupted him lowkey offended.
"I haven't seen you in almost a year Jasmine! Even gained some weight cause I didn't spend my time running after you" he shook his head laughing.
