Lemon eyed Maddy, seeming to ponder quietly why Maddy even came up to Lemon.
"Maddy is a lovely name.."
Lemon muttered, staring at Maddy for a moment before turning back to the warm cup of coffee in front of it.
"Thank you so much! I, um, I'm sorry for making this awkward but I thought you were really unique and cool! You're a literal lemon!! Ahem.. uh, I may not have any interesting things to talk about."
Maddy started twirling their hair out of nervousness. Lemon's eyes glistened in the sunlight, like if Lemon had traveled and found a new horizon kissed of early dawn.
"You think I'm unique..? You think I'm.. cool?"
Lemon's mouth quivered.
"Yeah of course I do. I love lemons!"
Maddy exclaimed, showing passion in faer voice. Lemon was so touched it almost brought it to tears.
"I've never in my life heard someone say such nice things to me. Knowing I'm a lemon and all. You can probably think of all the names I get called."
Lemon worded with sincerity, you could even see it in its eyes. Maddy smiled lightly, Teto coming back around.
"I see that a conversation has been going on! How about we all sit at the same table hm~?"
Teto smiled as they sat down, really making themself comfortable at the table Lemon was sitting at. Teto put a hand on their cheek and smirked at Lemon. Lemon got flustered and looked at Maddy longingly. Hoping ever so that Maddy would want to take a seat beside Lemon. Maddy sighed at Teto's actions, giving in and sitting on Teto's side of the booth instead of Lemon's. It wasn't on purpose but Maddy just automatically sat by someone they already have known for a while.
"Damn! Just my luck. Maybe soon I can get closer to Maddy."
Lemon had mentally stated.
"So my name is Teto! Maddy's beloved friend,"
Lemon's eyes changed slightly out of jealousy before Teto could continue.
"Assuming that we are all introduced now, opinion on gender? I say it's for the weak."
Teto went on. Maddy laughed aloud. Lemon blushed heavily.
"Even their laugh is lovely."
Lemon fiddled with its yellow fingers. Lemon was really in it now. This was love at first sight!
"Ah.. gender, touchy subject... I would say uh-"
Lemon was extremely nervous of offending Maddy. Although Lemon had desires to answer Teto's question. Lemon picked up its hand to try to gesture something but knocked the cup of coffee over.
"A-Ah! I'm so sorry!!"
Lemon tried to pick up the cup of coffee quickly.
"You're good, don't worry."
Maddy assured Lemon and went to grab the napkins, but so did Lemon. Coincidentally, Maddy and Lemon's hand landed on each others. Lemon looked up and blushed immensely. Maddy quickly moved their hand away.
"Sorry.."
Lemon murmured in a trance. Maddy was just... so beautiful in Lemon's eyes. After they cleaned up the mess they figured it was most likely time to leave the café. The spilt coffee was already cold anyway and they weren't eating in this moment. They could hang out somewhere else if they wanted.
"We should probably pay and get going!"
Maddy claimed as they pulled out a pink cat wallet and left cash on the table Teto and them were sitting at to begin with. Lemon paid for their coffee and they were all getting their stuff ready to leave.
"Will we get to see each other again?"
Lemon managed to get out and stood silently waiting for the answer. Teto nudged Maddy with their elbow and raised an eyebrow while smirking. Maddy gave a look and soon gave Lemon their phone and pointed to it.
"You can follow my youtube account and contact me through discord."
Maddy told while Lemon held Maddy's phone intaking all the information. Lemon's eyes brightened.
"Thank you! I hope we can meet up again!!"
Lemon exclaimed while clasping its hands together. This could be a dream come true! Only if Lemon can manage to get Maddy closer to them.
