Elizabeth flopped down next to George, both of the out of breath and panting. "God, how I've missed you, Hufflepuff," George panted as he glanced at Elizabeth and smiled. She laughed with exhaustion in her voice and nodded her head. "Yeah, I can tell," she remarked as she turned her head and looked at the ginger boy laying next to her. George gave Elizabeth one last passionate kiss before they both decided that they should get some sleep. Liz rolled over on her side, allowing George to cuddle up to her, and just as they were about to doze off, their alarms started to blare. The two of them jumped and groaned, they didn't realize that they had been up all night. When Elizabeth tried to get up from the soft comfort of George's embrace, he quickly pulled her back down and nuzzled his head into the crook of her neck. "We could always just stay here, and go in late darling," George mumbled. Though the idea was appealing, Elizabeth really wanted to go eat breakfast with the rest of the group, spending three months away from them was torture. "That sounds nice, Georgie, but everyone would miss us at breakfast, c'mon my love," she said as she finally got off the bed, dragging him up with her.
Once Elizabeth and George entered the grand hall and sat with their friends, they realized that everyone was making strange eyes at them. The two looked at each other confused, then realized that they had accidentally switched robes. Elizabeth was wearing a Gryffindor one, while George was wearing a Hufflepuff one. Elizabeth immediately got embarrassed, while George found it amusing. They quickly switched while their friends around them were cackling. "Well, did you guys have fun last night, or what? You both look exhausted," Fred remarked with a devious smirk plastered across his lips. Elizabeth turned a bright shade of red and buried her face in her hands, the poor girl always got flustered so easily. George chuckled as he rubbed Elizabeth's back. "I could ask you the same thing, Freddie. I know you were with Angelina last night, hm?" George replied. Luna was just sitting next to Elizabeth, completely oblivious of what was happening around her. "Lizzie, do you know what you wanna do for your birthday?" Luna asked innocently as she took a couple bites of food. George perked up excitedly, eagerly waiting to hear Elizabeth's response. "I'm not sure, Luna. I think I just want something small, I don't want it be a big deal," Elizabeth responded. Before anyone could comment, she felt a soft touch on her shoulder. "Leave it to me, darling. I'll make it a birthday you won't forget," Elizabeth turned to see that it was Samantha. "No, Sam, I know you. You'll make anything an absolute rager, do you remember what happened last year?" Elizabeth objected. "Just trust me, Hufflepuff, I've got this, you don't have to worry about a thing. Just make sure you're in the Hufflepuff common room tomorrow after nightfall," Sam demanded before she walked away. Elizabeth never liked making her birthday a big deal, but those around her always wanted to celebrate her in any and every way they could.
After breakfast, Elizabeth and George unfortunately broke away from their friend group as they dreadfully made their way to potions with Professor Snape. Thankfully, this particular class period was a combination of Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs, so they were able to spend at least a little more together. George had to split away from Elizabeth just for a moment, but he told her that he would meet her in the classroom, she went ahead without her lover by her side. Every year, she sat in the same seat in Snape's class, and thankfully she was able to carry on tradition once more. Right as she sat down, Cedric didn't think twice before taking the seat next to her. Elizabeth wanted to tell him that the seat was reserved for George, but she didn't wanna be rude, she just smiled politely. "Hey Elizabeth! So, I've heard that your birthday is tomorrow! Do you have anything planned?" He asked as he started to pull out his books from his worn down bag. "Well, not originally, but Sam Lupin is pretty persuasive so I think she's planning a party for me," Elizabeth replied, not quite sure how she felt about it just yet. "You're more than welcome to come, if you'd like. It's gonna be in the Hufflepuff common room after nightfall," she added, Liz didn't want to bring up a party and then not invite him, that would come off standoffish in her mind. "Uhhh.. lemme check my calend- uhm absolutely! You really think I would turn down an invitation to the one and only Elizabeth Roberts' birthday party?" Cedric said enthusiastically. Elizabeth giggled and gave the boy a warm smile in response. Then, George walked into the classroom and saw that Cedric Diggory was sitting next to his girl. He thought about whether or not he should walk up to them, or just leave the situation alone. Before he could make a decision, his twin came up behind him. "Not sitting with Elizabeth? I finally get you all to myself, then? C'mon" Fred stated happily as he took George's arm and dragged him over to two empty seats while George's eyes still laid on Elizabeth and Cedric. He saw how Cedric was making her laugh. What could that Hufflepuff boy be saying that made her laugh so genuinely? George normally wasn't the jealous type, but when Cedric Diggory is involved, it's different.
