Reunion

"YOU COWARD, GET BACK HERE!"

Tanjiro ran after Akaza despite his injury. What's happening? There's no way.. they're going to turn Giyū into a demon!

Tanjiro threw his sword with all his strength, aiming precisely,
"COME BACK HERE, AND FIGHT US!" He cried.

"ACK!-" Akaza yelled, as the sword impaled him through his shoulder blade.

He turned to look at Tanjiro and scowled, 'You IDIOT, I'm not running from you, I'm running from the motherfucking sun!'

"UNLIKE YOU WE'RE- WE'RE HUMANS! WE'RE MADE OF FLESH, AND BONES, WE CAN'T MAGICALLY HEAL LIFE THREATENING WOUNDS!- WHEN WE LOSE A LIMB IT'S GONE FOREVER! YOU HAVE THE UPPER HAND, YET CHOOSE TO HIDE IN THE SHADOWS ONLY WHEN YOU HAVE THAT ONE ADVANTAGE! YOU'RE JUST A COWARD!" Tanjiro bawled.

"GIVE GIYŪ-SAN BACK!" Tanjiro wailed,

"HE WON THIS BATTLE, AND YOU'RE JUST AFRAID TO ADMIT THAT! HE PROTECTED EVERYONE TO THE VERY END, SO RETURN HIM TO US!"

Inosuke was stumbling on his feet, he hasn't felt so much urgency in a while, but whenever Gonpachiro's exasperated like this, he can't help but persist.

Tanjiro, panicking, and stressed out of his mind hurriedly gathers all of his options, mentally trying to sort out the best possible one. He's trying his best, but is losing hope.
His wound is throbbing, and he's aware that his careless sprinting is only worsening it. Tanjiro places a hand on his gash, and takes a deep breath in.

"CHACHAMARU!! YUSHIRO-SAN!"

Tanjiro stopped in his tracks, and focused all of his energy onto yelling, as loud as he possibly could.

"CHAACHAAMARUU!"
Inosuke looked back at Manjiro, dubiously slowing down.

"WHAT AR-"

"YUSHIRO-SAN, GO AFTER, THAT DEMON!" Tanjiro pointed directly in front of him, where Akaza was heading.

He started jogging, trying to maintain a fast pace.

'Faster! Move your legs faster! Do it for Giyū!' He was now panting unendurably, swallowing his saliva impatiently.

"C'mon! hurry-" Inosuke grabbed Santaro's arm, dragging him, only to realize Inosuke himself wasn't much faster.

Eventually, the Kakushi caught up with them, and forced them onto stretchers.
Tanjiro politely asks his Kasugai, Matsuemon, to send a message to Lady Tamayo and Yushiro.

Then they finally arrive at the Butterfly Estate.

"I.. can't believe it.. he just, took Mr. Giyū? Just like that?"

Zenitsu laid in his bed, blankly staring at the ceiling.

"THAT'S WHY I'M TELLING YOU WE HAVE TO GO BACK AND DEFE-" Aoi smacked Inosuke's head.

"Just shut up already-" Aoi's voice faltered, "obviously we want our Water Pillar back, but realistically, there's nothing we can do at the moment."

Inosuke, Zenitsu, and Tanjiro silently listened to her intently.

"The Hashira are going to conduct a plan and do their very best to bring back Tomioka-san,"

Aoi clenched her pants, frustrated with Inosuke's constant yelling,

"Until then, all we can do is place our trust and hope into the Pillars."

Zenitsu and Tanjiro looked at each other earnestly, as Inosuke calmed down.

"Oh, Tanjiro, you were chanting something earlier, while you guys were running.. what's Chachamaru?"
Zenitsu inquired, seeing now as the best time to ask.
