It's been weeks or months you think that had passed and Gabriel wasn't a kid no more and is already on his teenage years. You don't know how long you were in this facility for him to reach this age but Sebastian did mentioned he grows fast than a normal human due to the mixed DNAs passed down through him.

You were glad he did grow fast and helps you whenever he can from any entities, though you can survive just fine but your travels have gotten easier so to speak.

Sometimes he would ask you personal questions regarding family. You weren't so sure how to answer those and hope that he wouldn't catch on the fact that he looked like Sebastian. You always bring him to his shop when he was a toddler before and began to see him as his Uncle.

Sebastian didn't mind as long as Gabriel doesn't really annoy him that much and he was chill if Gabriel sometimes eat his lure with his grabby fingers before. You treasured those memories with a camera you found and Sebastian threatened you for that.

But, you still hadn't deleted the pic as he can't took it from you because Gab suddenly bite his ears at the time making him scream as you laughed and took the menace off him.

Those were good times.

GRRROOOOWWWLLLLLLLL

You heard you're stomach grumble as you sighed and rubbed it to keep it quiet as the sound echoed through the walls. Great, now everyone knows your hungry aside from Gab who snickered beside you making you glare at him and he shut up real quick.

Don't wanna mess with an hungry person after all. He might became sushi.

"Ughhh, I'm hungry. Do we have any snacks left?"

You asked him as he opened his bag that you use to collect data with. You decided he carries the bag as the oxygen tank is already weighing on your poor back and you gained bad posture for that. Plus, he had nothing to carry and he was stronger than you. So, you made him carry heavy stuff on his 4 arms.

"Nope. We ran out of snacks."

He said and you nodded as you silently prayed that you can survive through this hunger. As you keep walking while he slithers behind you.

Due to his mixed DNA, he had developed 4 arms unlike Sebastian who has 3 arms at max. You sometimes feel jealous at them as you're 2 arms - even though they are useful - sometimes isn't good for carrying more loads especially when you really need to carry more.

But luckily from Gab, his 4 arms can assist you and you don't have to worry bout leaving anything behind as you developed an OCD and wanted everything to be perfect and definitely spotless before any expendables take it.

You passed by the familiar room and heard the vent open as you heard Sebastian's voice.

"Psst, over here."

You finally sighed in relief as you can now rest and you crawled inside the vent and Gab followed you from behind. Despite his growing size - he was much bigger than Sebastian already - he can fit through small holes easily and slithered inside after getting out, he curled his tail to give you space as it was long like Sebastian's.

You only have a small space left to move around and you felt suffocated from the 2 large beasts in the room as you checked Sebastian's wares again for the next travel.

You still hadn't got the crystal, so, you keep on reviving at the spawn room where you will meet Gabriel waiting for you inside Door 01.

You still feel bad whenever you die as you can see Gab grieve over your dead body especially the first time he witnessed you die to Angler.

It was..traumatizing.

He was only 10 yrs old at the time and didn't know any better. So, he felt abandoned and went to Sebastian's shop till he told him that you will revive shortly after and he isn't gonna be an orphan like he thought he will be.

That day made you promise to yourself to not take any damages and Gab made sure to keep you alive even though you can revive. He won't let that happen, again.

You stared at the items infront of you as your stomach growled again and you sighed feeling embarassed as you heard Sebastian snickered.

'Like Father, like son.'

You grumbled internally and took a blacklight, batteries and medkit just incase for the next run as Gab already had the keycard in his hand.

"Goodluck out there."

He spoke as you crawled back to the vent, Gab following behind you as the light turned off inside the shop. You hummed as Gab handed you the keycard and you slide it in.

Well, this better be something as the door opened and you went in with Gab behind you.
