"Hmm, it's about time I check in Schale to see how Sensei's doing..." She placed down her pen to take a break and looked at the sky.
"Fufu, Yuuka-chan, I think you just wanted to see Sensei after so long." She clasped her hands.
"N-Noa! Stop making any more misunderstandings!" Yuuka denied what Noa said.
Yuuka and Noa—students of a school named Millennium and seminars that oversee the school's system and budget.
Because they're essentially considered as a Student Council club, they serve as the backbone for the students and their... rather egocentric inventions.
Be it a pistol equipped with pepper spray, a highly intelligent AI capable of insulting you to the highest degree when failing a math question, or maybe a refrigerator capable of shooting a deadly laser, it all happens here in Millennium.
"I-I just wanted to see if they're doing their work properly regarding the Millennium Prize! That's all." Yuuka pouted.
"Alright alright~" Noa embraced Yuuka from behind and treated her like a cat needing attention.
"Who proposed this idea anyways? A science fair in Millennium? Isn't that what everyone does everyday?" Yuuka shook her head and her cheeks were red, changing the tide of the conversation.
"It was Koyuki's idea to host this event," Noa went through her notes she always uses to record current events, "I accepted her proposal because it sounded interesting."
"Ah, I see... Wait, you two did what?!" Yuuka jumped off her chair, surprised that the two of them agreed on something.
"You mean you agreed to that pink gremlin's proposal without consulting me!?"
"Well, if you did hear it from her, I'm sure you'd be skeptical and reject her proposal immediately."
"K-Kgh... you aren't wrong..." Yuuka placed her hand on her forehead.
For the past week, the two of them have been working without rest, they even needed Sensei's help so this can go smoothly without fail.
Because of how many students participated in this event, the scale is tremendous, it's safe to say that the whole school participated in this event for two reasons;
One, it's a chance to show their club's capabilities, enabling them to have a higher budget.
Second; reaching the top ten will also grant them a higher budget and a mystery 'prize' Koyuki herself made.
"Well, it isn't so bad to see if everyone has improved in what they're doing... especially those brats in the Game Development Department." Yuuka agreed in the end and finished her short break.
"Mhmm, it's a way for the Millennium students to show their fruits of labor after all." Noa gave Yuuka a cup of coffee and placed it on her table.
"Thanks, Noa." Yuuka nodded her head.
It's been a long time since this has happened, but from the start, there's supposed to be more than two seminars that are working in this event.
The seminar named Koyuki is detained after helping Rio, another seminar for embezzlement of nearly all of Millennium's funds to create a utopia.
To make it worse, Rio, the president of the school resigned from her position, leaving the seat stagnant for a while.
...Though it didn't change anything when Yuuka and Noa handled things themselves with the help of other clubs.
It's all thanks to Sensei that things have been going smoothly.
—Plink!
"Ah! Thinking of Sensei..." Yuuka's eyes glistened, she was so excited to hear from Sensei that she blurted out her inner thoughts.
