Episode Two"Hey, you," Alex said, noticing me. His smile widened as he approached, the chaos of the backstage area fading into the background. "You made it! I see you've survived the madness out there."
I could hardly believe it. This was the moment I'd been dreaming of—the opportunity to connect with my idol face-to-face. I forced myself to regain composure, feeling a giddy thrill run through me despite the nerves.
"I did! That was incredible!" I managed to exclaim, trying to sound calm and collected.
"I can't believe I'm really here, talking to you after that performance! You were phenomenal."
"Thanks! It really means a lot to hear that," he replied, and for a brief moment, it felt like the noise around us faded completely . "So, you're the journalist I've heard about? I'm excited for our chat." His easy smile made it feel as if this whole moment was natural, comfortable—just two people talking.
"Yeah, that's me," I laughed , trying to suppress my nervousness. "I've been looking forward to this for so long. I just... I want to capture the real you in this interview, not just the superstar everyone knows."
Alex chuckled, and for a moment, it felt like time stood still. "The real me, huh? Good luck with that," he said, an amused glint in his eyes. "I'm not sure who that is anymore."
"Everyone deserves to be seen beyond the spotlight ," I countered, feeling a rush of courage. "I want to reveal your story. You know, the one that makes you human, beyond the glamour."
He nodded slowly, his expression thoughtful "That's a rare perspective in this industry. Most people just want the headlines. But I appreciate that," he replied, sincerity shining through his gaze. "I'm all in for a real conversation."
"That's exactly what I want, Alex. I want to explore who you are beyond the music. I've admired your work for so long—your lyrics, your authenticity." I could feel the excitement bubbling to the surface, mingling with the anxiety of what lay ahead.
He laughed softly, the sound warm and inviting. "Well , I can promise you one thing, Gabriela—it's not as glamorous as it seems. Sometimes, I feel like I'm just a puppet on a strings," he said, a hint of vulnerability edging into his voice. "But, hey, let 's talk—it's time to get this interview started. I think you might surprise me."
I took a deep breath, every word Alex spoke resonating like a melody in my heart. "I already know I'm going to learn so much from you," I replied, the thrill of finally diving into the conversation overwhelming my senses. "Ready when you are!"
Alex motioned for me to follow him to a quieter corner of the backstage area, away from the bustling crew. The walls were lined with photographs of Alex from various performances, capturing moments of intense emotion and vibrant energy. It felt surreal to be surrounded by reminders of his stardom while getting ready for a chance to peel back those layers.
As we settled into a makeshift sitting area with a few cushioned stools and a low table, I could feel my heartbeat quicken. This was where I'd get to know Alex, where I'd uncover the layers behind the persona. My thoughts were racing as I pulled out my not epad and pen, ready to begin.
"I'm here, just two friends talking, right?" Alex said, leaning back casually in his seat, his hands resting on his knees. The nonchalance in his posture made the atmosphere feel more intimate, taming the nerves that fluttered in my stomach.
"Right, just two friends," I echoed, trying to mirror his relaxed posture as I scrunched my notepad, looking for clarity among my scatterbrained thoughts. "So, let 's start with the basics, shall we? How has your life changed since rising to fame?"
