Tragedy or Threat-------------------
There was a wave of emotions which flooded Elite High, the queen of this school was dead; murdered, to be exact.
Was this a moment of celebration for the oppressed, or a sign for the demons to surrender?
Nobody could believe what their eyes had witnessed.. but one thing was certain; this wasn't going to be the end.
Meejin's pov
Meejin stood before her classmate Hee Yun, processing her thoughts before she could utter any words. Hee Yun glared at her
You sure seem shocked. Is it because you might get caught..?
Hm? What?
Hee Yun scoffed
What? It's a joke, you couldn't even defend yourself against her.
Soon enough Meejin was left all alone, she found herself more lost than ever as the reality of Elite High glitched infront of her.
Jihu's pov
Jihu felt a burst of emotions as he tried to fight back tears. Resentment, anger, pain and regret overwhelmed him.
He punched the wall of the vacant classroom and leaned against it, failing to keep his calm.
Isn't all of this unnecessary?
Minatozaki Yuki, another one of the key figures at Elite High, spoke while entering the class.
What do you mean by unnecessary?
I mean... she's gone now, what's the point of regretting? With Jiah's death, you should focus on protecting the other members of the circle ?
------------
The circle was a group of students who belonged to the richest families of Seoul, including the sponsors of Elite High.
The members of the circle were based solely on status and it was a must to respect them. Anybody who picked a fight with them didn't stand a chance of survival in the society.
Grades? That didn't matter to these heirs, they were on top of the food chain nonetheless. Be it the teacher's or principal, one word from these students could have them begging at their mercy.
------------
What's the point of regretting?! Is this just a joke to you? Oh right.. you never wanted Jiah to be around anyways, you were always overshadowed by her, weren't you Yuki?
I don't think it's the time to decide who's celebrating and who's grieving. Did you already forget the Threat we received? There's a criminal at lose and we're all targets.. if you don't move on, then Jiah won't be the only one who-
Alright! I get it , just please give me some time.. a moment to process this.. please..
Yuki sighed and walked away, she took a slightly pause before existing and murmured something which Jihu could barely hear.
I can only trust you to protect me.
Iseul's pov
As usual, Iseul was immersed in her literature book, leaning her back against the lonely oak tree that grew in the schoolyard.
Nothing could've possibly been more relaxing to her than getting lost in her word of poetry and this would've been the perfect time to do so if it weren't for the hell that just got unleashed upon the school.
Not knowing about what had happened, Iseul continued reading as she hummed a calming tone. The only thing she could hope for in this moment was that he wouldn't show up to disturb her again.
Considering how annoying her was a part of his routine now, this was a bit too much to ask.
I knew you'd be here.
Ugh not you again, Zyran.
------------
Zyran was a the core of the circle. Wealth, looks, fame, power; he possessed every quality one could think of.
But as they say, the common thing between the needy and the extremely wealthy is that life is no fun for them.
He was tired of the usual routine. Focusing on status all the time, he rarely ever talked to his family. All his friends belonged from a similar background so he had gotten bored of seemingly repeating the same day over and over again.
That was until he met Iseul, she was different from other girls who tried to leech off him. She only cared about her own goals and not about others' wealth or status.
This confident behaviour of the girl caught Zyran's attention when she didn't even hesitate to ignore his greeting and turn him away, saying that she was busy.
It's not that he was impressed by her, infact it was the quite opposite. Zyran couldn't help but feel anxious by her negligence and made up his mind to get Iseul's attention. Only then he could restore the bruises on his ego.
This sense of rivalry grew on both sides but it gradually became a source of enjoyment for him.
------------
You hate me that much,huh?
Yeah whatever.
Anyways, I'm not here to mess around, have you not heard?
I would appreciate if you didn't come into my space uninvited.
Well, I guess you haven't.
If you wanna say something, get to the point otherwise quit wasting my time.
Iseul finally lifted her sight from the book briefly, her glare clearly showed how annoyed she was.
You know, you should be nicer to someone who just lost a close friend.
Come to think of it, Zyran did look a bit faded, as if he was in denial or was hiding his despair, even though Iseul noticed this, she could least care.
She stood up as the emergency alarm started ringing. What do you mean?
Before Zyran could answer, Saki rushed by
We gotta head back to the dorm Iseul, It's a long story but... Lee Jiah was murdered.
Iseul passed a confused look towards her friend, in response to which, Saki took her arm and led her to the dorm after telling her she'd explain later.
