I do not own One Piece or any of its characters. Or in this case, its music.

(Previously...)

"SIMON'S PLANTED A BOMB IN THE MEDICAL ROOM!"

Everyone froze at those words from Luffy except Sabo, who made a dash for the medical room.

"ROBIN! CHOPPER! THERE'S A BOMB!"

Chopper, who was bandaging Koala's shigan injury, looked up at Sabo, then at the bomb on the roof of the medical room which he had only just noticed. His, Robin's and Koala's eyes whitened from the explosion due to happen in 7 seconds...6...5...

But just as it reached 4, Sabo grabbed the bomb and sped out to the lawn.

3 seconds left.

He searched around impulsively, knowing he had to get rid of it somehow. Cutting a wire was out of the question now.

All at once, Sabo knew what had to be done. He wouldn't like it, but there was no option left. And so he made a run for the edge of the Sunny, and leaped clean over it.

Huh, he thought to himself. I think this was the same edge that Luffy was greeting me on. That's kinda sad huh.

While his life flashed before his eyes, he heard music in his head that made him think that despite only being 22, he'd probably done all he needed to.

(Picture the following text with this music(the first minute and a half))

(Sabo POV)

I probably won't survive. It's sunset now, and I've always felt weaker by sunset. I guess this was a downside Ace had to accept as well. I never thought I would end up sacrificing myself on a mission, much less before it happened.

Come to think about it, my life has been pretty fulfilling. Growing up with Ace, and Luffy, it took me away from memories of my past that I never want to feel again. I met Luffy in Dressrosa, and now... I'll see Ace again. Heh. Imagine that. And joining the Revolutionaries... Dragon probably has a heart underneath all that. Koala and Hack, they'll miss me, sure. Maybe this last second, I'll have done something for everyone on board that ship. My brother can help Koala out with the raid... He's already one of the most wanted people in the world. Oh well... I guess this is it.

As he sunk deeper into the sea, one final thought flashed by his head.

"Goodbye, Koala. I hope you'll forgive me."

Sinking deeper, he smiled.

The explosion surprisingly wasn't very large above ground, but Jinbe and Franky still struggled to keep the Sunny behind her hiding spot. To the World Nobles and Marines, they simply cast it off as a wild cannonball launched at that rock in the distance. On the lawn, Luffy, struggling to keep himself standing, looked into the ocean in wild worry. Worry that he had lost his only remaining brother.

"SABO!!!"

Everyone looked at Luffy while still in shock from the bomb, and the explosion. Koala couldn't register what was happening, but once she understood that Sabo had put everyone's lives before his, she wasted no time. Ignoring the sharp pains from running and jumping over the helm while there was still several holes in her body, she dived into the water to find and save Sabo on the off chance he was alive.

"Dammit Sabo, where are you?!" Koala thought to herself, almost out loud. Suddenly, she caught a glimpse of white in the almost black sea. There. Sabo's cravat. He always wears it. Gliding effortlessly through the water, she took hold of the weightless body of Sabo, just saving him from sinking further. Wow, there was his top hat right next to her.

She resurfaced, and after a deep breath of air, yelled out to the Sunny.

"DON'T WORRY! I'VE GOT SABO!"

Drop a comment on your thoughts! I think this is one of my more well-written chapters.
