In the small town of Springfield, Tennessee, young star Luke Swift was filming the fourth season of his crime-action tv series, Badlands.
Sitting and standing by his character's motorcycle, he gets the orders of the scene from his director, Martin Scorsese.
After Martin stopped talking, he took a few steps back, so the camera could capture him getting on the bike.
" Ready, set, action!" Luke heard Martin yell out on his chair, so he started walking towards the black Harley Davidson, placed on the side of the road.
He got on the bike, turning it on, and began to ride off as the camera followed him as he continued to ride.
The camera continued to follow him but, as long black crane like piece of equipment got closer to Luke,. It all of a sudden shot straight into Luke's side.
LUKE'S POV
As i rode my character's bike down the road, i was focusing on making to the next road which I would turn into.
All of a sudden i felt something large and heavy slam into the side of my body, throwing me off the bike and down the small hill.
Severe, harrowing pain tore through the side of my body, It felt as if a fire of pain had been lit in my ribs. I heard the sounds of shock and the footsteps of people rushing to check on me.
I felt myself losing consciousness as Martin and the crew members arrived. As they began to tend to me, the black dots surrounding my vision took over, and i fell into a peaceful sleep.
JOE'S POV
It was one in the afternoon, and I sat in my trailer eating my lunch and drawing a sketch of a photograph of me and my son when he was a baby. After a huge morning of shooting my scenes as ' Holden Baker ' a unhinged iraq and afghanistan war vet, that is the uncle of my son's character, James Baker.
As I was getting lost in my drawing, I heard the door swing open, Looking up from my art I saw one of the AD's, Jim, incredibly flushed, guessing he had just run over here.
' Joe, It's your son, he's had an accident ''.
