Weddings. An event that is supposed to be loving and joyful but it is never that simple when it comes to a Roy wedding, from all my fathers (failed and current) marriages to Kendall’s failed marriage to Rava just shows how cursed the Roys are when it comes to the love department. It’s like we're void of that emotion, well most emotions but that one especially. However, it is a day of celebration and celebrating my little sister and her partner. I wouldn't miss it for the world.
As I got out of a black Ferrari, seeming to be the late one to the party with the rest of the family there bar the second eldest, all having plus ones well, sort off. Can Kendall really call Rava his plus one? This is the first time I had seen him since the ranch and wanted to steer clear of him as much as possible. A nice staff member took my luggage out the trunk and informed me it would be in my designated room causing me to smile slightly at the man thanking him for his services. I grabbed a flute of champagne before walking towards my twin.
“Look who finally decided to show her face” Roman bitched
“I’m here aren’t I?” I rhetorically asked my twin
“Shouldn’t have came at all with that attitude” I hear a very posh english accent say from behind me I glare at Roman slightly, a little warning would be nice bro but I turn around to face my dear mother
“Mom, you're looking good” I say as she brings me in for a small hug making me roll my eyes behind her back
“Oh thank you darling, you look... lovely” she came up with eventually she looked about “No date? That's a shame.” This makes me fake a smile. The start of the endless amount of snarky remarks regarding my entire life.
“He couldn’t make the rehearsal, he’s visiting some family. He'll be here for the wedding though” I assure my mother making not only her curious but my two siblings next to me also.
“Oh and who is this date?”
“You’ll just have to wait and find out” she gives me a fake smile in retaliation to that then by luck Shiv and Toms car pulls up ready for the rehearsal to start
“You two took your time” I tell them both as the couple and Kendall who has been avoiding me walk up towards the group of Roys.
“Hello hello hello! Here they are!” our mother obnoxiously announced but I was just glad the limelight was off me, for now. “I knew they’d come eventually”
“Hi, hi, mom” she greets us but directly giving me a slight glance giving our mother a small hug like i just did previously which Tom replicated
“Tom.” Oh here we go “Well look at you! Very plausible” Plausible? Who the fuck describes their future son-in-law as plausible?
“Oh well-” Tom stutters unsure how to proceed with the comment “Thank you?”
“Exactly”
“Hi, mom” Kendall greets our mom feeling awkward around her still
“Hello Kendall” she says as she gives him a hug making me roll my eyes, She did always prefer the sons. After she lets go Kendall goes to give Roman a small, awkward hug that couldn’t have lasted more than two seconds
“Hey bro” Roman said as I took a drink from the champagne, Kendall looks at me as if he was expecting something, whether that was a hug or a punch I'm not sure but I wasn't going to give him the satisfaction of either just ignoring him, even Caroline felt there was an atmosphere.
“Right, well, shall we play happy families?” Caroline asked the group, Tom, myself, Kendall, Rome and his plus one who I now know as Tabitha head inside but I see Shiv and Caroline not following, I turn to lips ‘good luck’ to my younger sister knowing she'll need it when dealing with the she-devil. Shiv, mother dearest and Greg come inside a couple minutes later while myself, Tom, Roman and Tabitha were talking. Rome grabbing Shiv as she was about to walk by
