The camp was situated in the heart of the forest. As it was the first day , everyone introduced themselves and chattered. It was suffocatingly quite. It was so silent that it seemed like there were no other people left except them.

The night fell. After having dinner with others , it was time to sleep. The girl lay down , trying to sleep but that was the last thing she could do. She layed wide awake in her tent. She felt a prescene outside the rent with some discreet noises.

Closing her eyes felt like being trapped in a prison. The moment she closes her eye lid felt like a prescene being infront her face. Blinking felt like switching on and off the lights of a haunted basement. This feeling of being watched intensified. Something was about to swallow her , either her thoughts or that prescene. Clenching her fists , determined to stay up the whole night or atleast that's what she thought.

The next morning , her friend Maria woke her up. She unknowingly fell asleep. The girl woke up alarmed. Cautiously emerged from her tent, scanning her surroundings with a mix of fear and curiosity. Everyone else were already up and was preparing for the day's activities.

"I thought you wouldn't make past the night. You seemed spooked last night" said Maria noticing her dark circles.

The girl brushed it off, "it just felt too unfamiliar "

She tried to join in with the group , engaging in conversation and participating in camp activites, but the sense of being watched lingered.

In the afternoon, as they hiked through the forest, she sworn that she saw shadows fitting between the trees from the corner of her eyes. The hustling wind making a sound seeming like a cry for help. The eerie feeling intensified.

Tired of this , she asked her friends trying to seem natural, "do u guys ever feel like someone is watching us?"
They laughed it off and said it was just the unfamiliarity of the forest and animals lurking around. These words should've reassured her but instead felt like she was isolated.

As night fell once again under the stars , she sat by herself in the campfire, trying to let go off the chills.

As she was lost in thought , staring at the flames , a sudden wind gushed and flickered the fire. For a brief second, She saw a figure in the wild smoke.

Her heart skipped a beat but she convinced herself that it was not real and her mind is just playing tricks on her.

Despite the heat from the fire , she got chills from the sound of the hustling wind which sounded almost like a warning.

She got tired of sitting there all by herself so she went to the place others were staying. She started circling around the area and suddenly came across an unfamiliar cupboard.
