"You know... you don't talk much about your past, Aria."

I stared at myself in the mirror, my purple eyes empty. I sighed, taking my comb to my wavy black hair that was about shoulder length.

"There's not much to say about it, Care. I mean it's all foggy to me. I try not to focus on the past, you know."

She walked over to the sink, standing right beside me, "your purple eyes always fascinate me, they're so unique."

I laughed, "I don't like how much attention they bring."

"Don't lie!", Caroline said as she bumped her shoulder into mine.

I threw my hands into the air, "Damn! Well, ya caught me!"

We both laughed. It was nice having someone to always talk to, Caroline is the first person I met when I came to Mystic Falls and she's definitely the one I'm closest to. She made me feel welcomed for once in my life, it was nice, peaceful.

Running my fingers through my hair, I smirked, "when do you think I'll meet Klaus?"

"There's definitely no rush, that's for sure."

I frowned, "well, why the hell not?"

Giving me her signature 'mom look', she shook her head, "how many times must I remind you on how dangerous he is?"

I rolled my eyes, "how many times do I need to remind you, he doesn't scare me."

"Well, he should."

"But he doesn't."

For a moment, she just stared at me. I know she was worried about me doing something stupid or even me not biting my tongue if I do meet Klaus.

"He'll kill you.", Caroline said softly.

I shrugged, "he hasn't killed Damon yet. I think I'll be okay."

Jokingly, she rolled her eyes, "you got a point there."

I gave her a soft smile, "I know I do! Now, will you please stop worrying about me. I'll be okay."

She laughed, "fine! Speaking of Damon, I haven't heard from Elena or neither of the Salvatore's today."

"Who knows what those three idiots are up to."

Caroline gave me the 'be nice look'.

"I'm just saying. They always get themselves into trouble.", I replied, walking into my bedroom.

The walls were painted a dark midnight blue with black curtains shielding the room from sunlight. The bed was memory foam with two pillows on each side, four total. The pillow covers matching the black sheets and black fluffy cover. The way out and in, a white color to offset the darkness, was a hollow four panel door, made out of pine wood. There was also a seating area, similar to a bench, by the window matching the color of the door. The desk that held a mirror, and a few drawers, were the color of snow, along with the closet doors. The closet held every possible dark colored crop top imaginable along with a few leather jackets. The drawers in the desk housed many black pairs of leggings and black ripped skinny jeans.

Caroline followed after me, "you know you give off the typical vampire vibes. Dark room, badass clothes. And you have a freaking motorcycle!!"

I laughed, "thanks, I think."

Groaning, Caroline plopped down on my bed, "I should probably go find the three 'idiots', as you like to call them."

"Yeah, you go do that. I'm going to take a trip to the Mystic Grill."

"Aria...", she warned.

I stared at her, smiling, "Care, trust me. I won't be entirely stupid."

"Not funny."

I shrugged, throwing on my clothes. Wearing black leggings, a midnight blue crop top, a leather jacket, and pitch black heeled leather ankle boots, I shoved my phone into my jacket pocket.

Caroline followed me as I exited the safety of my home.

"You be safe!", she said wrapping her arms around me, forcing a hug.

I joked, "when am I never not safe?"

She just glared at me.

I hopped onto my deep midnight blue motorcycle, waving Caroline 'goodbye' as we went our separate ways.

Once I arrived at the grill, I walked inside. The clacking of my boots echoed throughout the whole building, yet no one bat an eye, except for one man. His dark blueish green eyes stared into mine. His curled dirty blonde hair laid upon his head.

I smirked, walking over to him, "you must be Klaus."

He didn't answer me at first, only stared, just like Rebekah did. Eventually, snapping out of it, he turned back to face the bar.

Taking a sip of his drink, he chuckled, "what gives you that impression, love?"

His voice was filled with a British accent.

Sitting down next time him, I stole his drink, "you scream daddy issues."

His smile quickly faded, "excuse you?"

Taking a sip of his drink, I sat the glass down, "learn to take a joke, jeez. You all are so stuck up."

He tilted his head at me slightly, amused at my boldness, "well aren't you brave."

I shrugged, "I'd like to think of myself as just a person who is honest."

"Did you need something or...?"

I stared at him, "what are you doing here?"

He smirked, "getting a drink."

"No, I mean here, as in Mystic Falls."

His cockiness suddenly slipped away, his face now serious, "I could ask you the same thing, now, can't I?"

"This is my home."

He shrugged, "not always, it wasn't."

I stared at him blankly for a moment, confused.

"What do you mean by that?", I questioned.

Klaus stood up, "oh, everyone has their secrets, love."

Suddenly, the immortal hybrid that stood before me was now gone, leaving me with a mind full of questions that I couldn't answer, not on my own, at least.
