I didn't want to move from my bed, that being the reason for switching from sleep to being awake. The rest is what I wanted right now as I've not been getting good sleep. I'd been lost in a train of thought about the upcoming battle and how the day would progress. This led me into a downward spiral causing me to toss and turn all night. Over the past few weeks this cycle has been affecting me, it never seemed to end. I sighed and closed my eyes and tried to get rid of the thoughts of PokeFest and the battle that drew closer. I wasn't looking forward to it and the craziness that always came with this event.

I laid there for a few more minutes. It didn't take long before resting had been interrupted again. I opened my eyes to see Hop, my younger brother heading down the hallway. He passed by but stopped in an instant and backed up, he had a double take seeing that I was still in bed. With his hands he placed them on his hips as he stood in the doorway. I knew for a while now that Hop had been awake, he let out a long sigh, he rolled his eyes before he stepped inside my room standing at the foot of my bed.

"Leon! You're not up yet?"

His voice was louder than normal, it rang through my head with a boom. Moments after standing there watching me he walked to the wall and flicked on the light. The suddenness of it being turned on made my headache worse than it was, it bore down to my face and eyes. It was brighter than I remembered as I resorted to grabbing the nearest pillow and threw it over my head. A low groan came from Hop when he came back closer and nudged my shoulder.

"You're going to be late for the battle if you keep laying around!"

"What if I don't want to go? Have you ever thought about that?"

"Leon, you can't miss this, it's so important to so many people. Look at how many people you'd be letting down if you just skipped out on this event, it would be heartbreaking."

"I get that it's important, but I hardly slept last night but I really want to keep resting."

Hop sighed, "I'm getting to the point that I'm going to have to do something to get you up. I really don't want to have to make you get up since I know you're capable of doing so but you'd not only let others down, but you'd be letting me down too. You know how much I love to see you battle against other trainers over the years. Do you want that?"

I removed the pillow from over my head to see the frown on Hop's face. Deep down I knew that he was right about this and not missing an important event. On the other hand, having a dead tired Champion wasn't going to be fun either. That also wouldn't be memorable for anyone. I stared at Hop for a moment before I placed the pillow back over my head. I didn't have it in me to continue on today. This battle with Raihan had been the only thing on my mind, it would not leave me alone no matter how much I tried to beat it away. Another sigh came from Hop.

"I warned you that I'd do something to get you up even though I don't want to do what I'm thinking of."

Without any warning Hop grabbed my blankets and tore them off of me before he tossed them onto the floor. I hugged my knees and curled up as the cold encased me. It didn't take long before he also removed the pillow from over my head and tossed it on top of the sheets. I turned my head in his direction and shot a glare.

"Was that necessary?"

Hop nodded, "Yes, it was. Let's get going before we're later than we already are." He paused, "I need to go get ready too. I'll be in the bathroom when you're up."

Hop turned and left the bedroom without another word. I slowly sat up and rubbed my face with my hands. I might as well get up and do what's needed. I swung my legs off the bed and put my feet into the lilac-colored slippers on the floor. My body creaked when I rose onto my feet. Everything in my body was sore from the battles and the training of others that's been thrown at me over the past few days. I'd also been training under Chairman Rose to be the next in line to run the Battle Tower when he retires, that was a lot of work in itself. I dragged myself out of my bedroom with a sigh. I knew that there was no chance of going back to sleep. With everything going on it was hard enough to function as it was.
