With that out of the way I turned away and didn't give the man a chance to say another word. I made my way toward the Stadium, shoving my hands into my pockets as I walked off. The ride here was short but at least I arrived on time. It was also time to really show Leon who's the real boss and what I'm made of. I felt that I was going to beat him. I guarantee it. Losing wasn't fun but it was time for a new era where I'm the one on top.

I looked over my shoulder as I watched the Corviknight spread its wings. It was majestic most times but I paid little mind to it when it was in the sky with a powerful gust of air. It vanished from sight as the breeze washed over me, it felt like it would knock me over. What was with the Pokemon being so sour all of a sudden? Whatever, it didn't matter while I took my Rotom out of my pocket. I was on time and that's what mattered to me.

I turned to face Wyndon Stadium when I noticed three girls standing there as they watched me. Today wasn't my day to stop and greet everyone that crossed my path. I moved past them only with a glance up at them beyond my Rotom's screen. Once I was beyond them one of them yelled to me as I left the area, this caused me to stop.

"Good luck with your battle Raihan!"

"Thanks."

I said to turn and vanish from their sight behind the large brick wall. This would be quite a day for me from what I'd seen so far. Beyond the barriers the stadium was bigger than the Dragon Gym. It was a sight to see for most people but for me it was just another place for battles. That and the future that I'd take over as I would prepare to be the new Champion of the Galar Region. There was no time to waste.

While I neared closer I saw a familiar black and white figure that leaned on the door leading inside. It was Piers, the Dark Gym Leader from Spikemuth as he said he'd be waiting for him. He took a few steps closer to me before he looked back at the sliding doors behind himself then back to me.

"Everyone else is inside waiting for you."

"What about Leon? Is he here yet?"

"Not yet, I don't expect him to be here for a short bit."

"Of course he has to be late. He always is."

Piers rolled his eyes, "Why do you have to be so snippy and so focused about him? What did he do to you?"

I glared, "That's none of your business."

"It's not my business but you could at least learn to give him a break from time to time."

Piers led the way inside and into one of the back rooms where the other Gym Trainers were instructed to wait for them and turned to face me.

"Just try to be more chill about today. We don't need extra conflict and stress on top of what we already have."

"Yeah, Yeah. I know this but you're not the one that's in charge of me."

Without another word I brushed my way into the room. Piers watched me with a scowl. It didn't bother me. I made my way to the far end of the room where Kabu stood near the water cooler. He had a bottle of ice cold water in his hand. He stared at me while I spoke.

"I'm thirsty."

"Hello thirsty, I'm Kabu."

I shot Kabu a glare as a grin crossed his face. Was this really the time to mess around? Groaning I watched as he reached into the cooler and took out a cold bottle and held it but he stared at me with the fire in his eyes unwavering. He shook his head as he handed the water to me. I grabbed it and swallowed a mouthful before Kabu spoke again.

"I don't understand what's going on with you lately. You used to be so much better than this where you weren't in a bad mood all the time. We miss the happier and more carefree version of you. Kabu coughed into his hand, "Will you ever go back to that?"

I rolled my eyes, "Why is everyone on my case today? I didn't do anything wrong. Why me of all people?"

"You may not have done anything but your attitude says otherwise. You should take on after Leon, all he's been is good to you."

"Yeah, so? What makes you think I'd care about him?"

"I'm not here to listen to you complain like a child. It's not my place to be your parent."

With a turn on his heel Kabu made his way to the other side of the room over to Piers. I saw them start talking and rolled my eyes. They don't know how much this battle means to me and that they're making it bigger than things really are. Whatever, it's not my issue and I don't want to deal with it anyways. Closing my eyes I leaned on the table nearby. To my surprise moments passed as a chuckle came from under the table.

"You got ratted out by Kabu. That's so funny that you fell into that."

Of course Allistor has to be nearby in the darkest part of the room. I groaned before I lifted the white curtain exposing the masked Ghost Gym leader. He hissed and backed into the wall covering his face in the process.

"I can hear you down there. Shut it."

"You know how I am with the light, put the sheet down please."

"Don't cross me again. But now we're even."

I dropped the sheet covering Allistor again. That wasn't what I wanted to spend my time on. Rolling my eyes I turned to sit on the edge of the table in the center of the room taking another drink from my water bottle. At least it was cold and the way I liked it. Wiping my face as I gazed at the other Gym Leaders in the room. Nessa and Milo were standing a few tables over chatting loudly with each other, Nessa was unable to keep still. I blended the noise they made away from me. Bea, Melony and Gordie had pulled out a deck of cards to play a game while they waited for Leon to get here.

Marnie kept to herself as she looked out the window to the parking lots below, she must be waiting for Hop to come similarly to me waiting for the always late Champion. However, it was recent that she was appointed the new Gym Leader of the Fairy Gym since Opal had retired a few weeks ago. It was a vast improvement considering the relationships she's built in such a short time.

I watched the red framed clock above the exit. It was time for the events to start. Chairman Rose should be here at any minute to give us further directions on what we needed to do. Before long the man himself walked into the room adjusting his tie. He gazed at the room as the other Gym Leaders lined up nice and pretty. He narrowed his eyes as he scoped out who was there.

"Where's Leon?"
