YEARS OF BEING IN THE INDUSTRY CAN TAKE A TOLL ON YOU
Especially when your carrying the entire industry on your back. That's how Bae Byung-Ho felt.
Because of his many years of experience within the music business, he knows his ins and outs. He knows when it's time for a change, how to keep up with the trends or somehow match his and his group's style with today's standards. He knows how to make a hit single, and album.
However, after so much writing, producing, dancing, singing, and more, it can take a lot out of you both physically, and mentally, and eventually lead you towards burnout.
Many people assumed that's what Bow was going through, a burnout. As some of the latest songs he's put out or worked on hasn't been the greatest, and his stage presence has been seemingly sloppy.
This is making people talk, of course. Many reporters or talk show hosts are speculating that perhaps, Bow is on the verge of retiring from the industry, because of how old he's getting. He's losing his popularity and motivation with the industry and is unable to keep up with this newer generation.
These talks are...half wrong, but also half true. Bow will admit (not publicly-) that he gets to such a point of burnout, that he wants to just drop everything and retire. Many are surprised he hasn't yet, since he does have the financial stability and more in order to retire. But his passion for performing, and his love for his group, is still too strong.
He can't just become a regular producer/composer, he needs to perform. He needs to sing and dance on stage, and he needs to do it with his members. Although he does fine with his solo performances, he still has a strong attachment to his group and his members. They're his brothers.
However, lately, he's been worrying that his body won't be able to handle what he's doing any longer. He tends to not care for criticism, but lately it's been getting to him. Hearing people talk about how old he's getting and looking, and how it might be effecting him is making him spiral a bit.
And his appearance has also been messing with his head as well.
As he sat there on the edge of his tub, in his bathroom while looking at himself in the mirror. He just...didn't see himself.
