—————THE AIR WAS COLD AS IT BLEW THROUGH JUPITERS HAIR, she was sat on a small wooden bench outside her house, her hands running through her hair as she read her book. Jupiter was a book girl, before the outbreak she would go book shopping every Sunday with her mother.
She sat on the bench, humming a soft little song to herself when she felt someone approach her, she lifts her head up from her book to be met with Beth, Jupiter immediately closed her book gently, placing it down onto the glass table beside the bench she was peacefully sat on.
Jupiter raised an eyebrow at her sudden sisters appearance but she doesn't say anything. "You okay, Beth?" Jupiter asked calmly, a soft smile welcoming onto her face.
Beth took a step onto the patio, her face was surprisingly much paler than usual, which made Jupiter feel concerned about her sisters health. Her eyebrow raised even higher.
But before Jupiter could say anything else and ask if her sister was okay, Beth's body practically collapsed onto the patio, Jupiters eyes widen out of surprise and shock, a feeling of panic rose inside of her. She immediately took notice and launched herself off the bench, kneeling down beside her sister who was laying motionless on the patio step.
Jupiter let her fingers explore her sisters neck until she found a pulse, she immediately moved a piece of hair from Beth's face, revealing her bright blue eyes before calling out for help nearby. "Maggie?! Dad!" She yelled.
After what felt like eternity, Jaxon came rushing to the patio to he met with the unexpected sight of Jupiters sister laying motionless on the patio step, he stood there, unable to think of anything before finally Maggie came up from behind him, shoving past him, kneeling down beside her little sister.
"She's in shock." Maggie spoke, exploring the blond girls neck.
Jupiter felt her heart sink, she knew it was something related to finding out about her mother and everything that's happened, she felt horrible. "Will she be okay?" Jupiter asked softly, trying to subside the panic in her voice.
"Jaxon, can you help me with getting her inside?" Maggie asked politely, avoiding Jupiters question for some odd reason. Jaxon stood still for a second or two before nodding his head slowly, rushing to Beth's side, lifting the girls body up from the ground with Maggie's help.
Jaxon and Maggie lifted the girls body through the house into her bedroom, placing her gently down onto the bed. "Where's Hershel?" Jaxon asked the question Jupiter had been asking herself a few minutes ago.
