Quickly I'd like to say this isn't exactly what happened as I know they were a couple before she attended the first game I js didn't know how to incorporate it.Secondly,I'm British so if I mess the football stuff up sorry 😭
Taylor was sitting in her New York apartment, unwinding after a long day in the studio. Her cat, Olivia, was curled up beside her, purring softly as Taylor scrolled through her phone. She had just finished a new song—something upbeat, but depressing.
As she absentmindedly flipped through her social media feeds, a headline caught her eye: "Travis Kelce Tried to Give Taylor Swift His Number During 'Eras Tour'—But It Didn't Go as Planned."
Curiosity piqued, Taylor clicked on the link. It led to a clip from Travis Kelce's podcast, New Heights, where he recounted his experience at her Kansas City show. He explained how he had made a friendship bracelet with his number on it, hoping to give it to her, but was disappointed when he found out she doesn't speak to fans before or after her shows.
Taylor couldn't help but laugh at the story. There was something undeniably charming about the idea of a towering NFL player making a friendship bracelet. She watched as Travis and his brother Jason joked about the whole situation, with Travis good-naturedly admitting that he'd been bummed out about not getting to meet her.
"Guess I'll just have to wait for another chance," Travis said with a grin.
Taylor paused the video, her mind spinning. She wasn't used to people being so open and playful about wanting to meet her—especially someone like Travis Kelce. It was refreshing, almost disarming, and she found herself wondering what it would be like to actually meet him.
Without overthinking it, she opened her DMs and typed out a message.
Taylor : Hey Travis, just saw your podcast—sorry I missed you at the show! I've gotta say, that friendship bracelet idea was pretty sweet. Maybe we can trade bracelets sometime?
She hesitated for only a moment before hitting send, feeling a rush of adrenaline. It wasn't every day that she reached out to someone like this, but something about Travis's easygoing charm made her feel like it was worth the risk.
To her surprise, he replied within minutes.
Travis : Holy shit !! Taylor Swift in my DMs—now I've seen everything! I'm glad you liked the bracelet idea. I'm up for a trade anytime. How about this: You come to one of my games, and we'll make it happen?
Taylor smiled, feeling a flutter of excitement. She could practically hear the grin in his words. The idea of attending an NFL game was new territory for her, but it also sounded like a lot of fun.
Taylor : That sounds like a plan. I've never been to an NFL game before, so you'll have to show me the ropes.
His response was almost immediate.
Travis : I'd be honored to be your guide. Let's make it happen—how about this Sunday at Arrowhead? I'll make sure you have the best seat in the house.
And just like that, her weekend plans were set.
As Sunday approached, Taylor found herself growing more excited—and a little nervous. She had performed in front of sold-out stadiums, but this was different. This was stepping into Travis's world, and she wasn't quite sure what to expect. Still, she couldn't help but feel a thrill at the thought of seeing him in action, doing what he did best.
When game day arrived, Taylor flew into Kansas City and was escorted to a suite at Arrowhead Stadium. The energy in the stadium was electric, and Taylor couldn't help but be caught up in it. She had been to plenty of sporting events before, but there was something about this—about knowing that Travis was out there on the field, knowing that he had invited her—that made it feel special.
As she settled into the suite, she received a text from Travis.
Travis : Hope you're ready for a show! I'll try to score a touchdown for you.
Taylor laughed, shaking her head at his confidence.
Taylor : I'll be watching. Good luck out there!
The game started, and Taylor found herself completely absorbed in the action. Travis was easy to spot on the field—his presence was commanding, and every time he touched the ball, the crowd roared. She couldn't help but be impressed by his athleticism, his speed, the way he seemed to glide across the field with ease.
And then it happened—late in the second quarter, Travis caught a pass and sprinted toward the end zone. The stadium erupted as he crossed the goal line, the roar of the crowd echoing in her ears. Taylor stood up, cheering along with everyone else, her heart racing with excitement.
A few moments later, her phone buzzed.
Travis : Touchdown! That one was for you.
Taylor felt a warm blush creep up her cheeks as she texted back.
Taylor : You made it look so easy!
After the game, Taylor was escorted to an afterparty where the team was celebrating their win. As soon as she walked in, she spotted Travis across the room. He was surrounded by teammates, but when he saw her, his face lit up with a smile that made her heart skip a beat.
He made his way over to her, still in his post-game gear, and Taylor couldn't help but notice the way he moved with the confidence of someone who knew exactly who he was.
"Taylor," he said, his voice warm and inviting. "You made it."
"I did," she replied, smiling back. "And you didn't disappoint. That touchdown was incredible."
"Thanks," he said, a playful glint in his eyes. "I had a little extra motivation today."
Taylor laughed, feeling the tension melt away. "So, about that bracelet trade..."
Travis grinned, reaching into his pocket and pulling out a small, colorful bracelet. "Made it myself," he said proudly. "Your turn."
Taylor reached into her bag and pulled out a bracelet she had made earlier that day—delicate beads spelling out "Kelce" strung on a simple cord. She handed it to him, their fingers brushing slightly as he took it.
"Now we're even," she said, her voice soft.
"Even," he agreed, slipping the bracelet onto his wrist. "But something tells me this is just the beginning."
They spent the rest of the evening talking and laughing, discovering that despite their wildly different worlds, they had more in common than they ever could have imagined. As the night wore on, Taylor realized that she was glad she had taken the chance to DM him. Sometimes, the best things in life started with a simple message—and this felt like one of those times.
And as they said their goodbyes later that night, Taylor couldn't help but feel that this was the start of something exciting, something worth exploring.
