A/n' pov

The next day, Y/N woke up as usual, the early morning light filtering softly through her curtains. She stretched and yawned before slipping out of bed. The castle was quiet at this hour, and she liked it that way. After getting dressed, she made her way to the kitchen, where the cook was already bustling about, preparing for the day.

"I think I'll try making pancakes today," Y/N said, her tone bright with determination.

The cook smiled warmly at her. "is it a new dish my lady? Let me know if you need any help."
Y/n nodded.

Meanwhile, in another part of the castle, Soobin stirred awake. He blinked a few times, adjusting to the light, before getting up and heading to the washroom to freshen up.

Once he was ready, Soobin made his way to Yeonjun's quarters. He knocked lightly on the door, waiting for the familiar voice to beckon him in. When he heard Yeonjun's voice, he pushed the door open and stepped inside, but the room appeared empty.

"bunny," Yeonjun's voice came from behind him, followed by the sudden warmth of arms wrapping around his waist. Soobin jumped, startled by the unexpected embrace, but quickly relaxed when he realized it was Yeonjun.

"Hyung, you scared me," Soobin said, his voice carrying a mix of surprise and affection.

Yeonjun chuckled softly, his breath warm against Soobin's neck. "Oh really? Sorry, bunny," he replied teasingly.

Soobin turned in Yeonjun's arms, facing him, and gently pressed a kiss to Yeonjun's forehead. "Did you sleep well?" he asked, his tone softening.

Yeonjun nodded, his gaze drifting down to Soobin's lips. A flicker of something unreadable crossed his eyes before he leaned in, intent on closing the distance between them. But just as their lips were about to meet, a knock on the door broke the moment. They quickly pulled away from each other, their hearts racing.

"Come in," Yeonjun called, trying to steady his voice.

Y/N entered the room, her presence bringing a slight tension to the air. "Prince Yeonjun, it's time for breakfast," she announced with a small bow and litely smile.

Yeonjun nodded in acknowledgment, casting a quick glance at Soobin before following Y/N out of the room. Soobin trailed beside him, their proximity both comforting and torturous. As they made their way to the dining hall, Yeonjun kept trying to close the distance between them, his shoulder brushing Soobin's every few steps. But Soobin, aware of the eyes on them, kept subtly moving away, maintaining a careful distance.

Breakfast was a quiet affair, the clinking of cutlery and the occasional murmur of conversation the only sounds filling the grand hall. Once they finished, Yeonjun stood to leave, Soobin and Y/N ready to follow, when the queen's voice stopped them.

"Stay here, Yeonjun. We need to talk," the queen said, her tone leaving no room for argument.

Yeonjun hesitated but eventually sat back down, Soobin and Y/N standing beside him. The queen's regal presence filled the room as she looked at her son with a mixture of authority and concern.

"So, Yeonjun," the queen began, her voice steady. "Your marriage is approaching. It's time to prepare."

Yeonjun's expression remained unreadable as he met his mother's gaze. "Why do I have to marry the prince? Can't we find another way to defeat Dark'thome?" he asked, his voice carrying a hint of frustration.

Soobin and Y/N stood silently, their eyes on the queen as they waited for her response. The queen sighed, reaching out to place her hand gently over Yeonjun's.

"Son, this alliance is crucial. We have a common enemy, and to defeat them, we need to strengthen our bond with the other kingdom," the queen explained, her tone softening as she tried to make him understand.

Yeonjun stared at their joined hands, his mind racing. The weight of his responsibility as a prince, the looming marriage, and his feelings for Steve-(aigo he doesn't know that is his fiance soobin) all of it pressed heavily on his shoulders. After a long moment of silence, he pulled his hand away and stood up abruptly.

"I'm not in the mood to discuss this," Yeonjun said, his voice tight with emotion. Without another word, he grabbed Soobin's hand and left the room, his grip firm and unyielding.

Y/N watched them go, a knowing look in her eyes. She didn't follow, understanding that Yeonjun and Soobin needed time to talk, away from the prying eyes of the court.

When they reached Yeonjun's room, Yeonjun quickly locked the door behind them. Without hesitation, he pushed Soobin onto the bed, hovering over him as their breaths mingled in the charged silence. Then, with a surge of emotion, Yeonjun closed the gap between them, capturing Soobin's lips in a passionate kiss.

Soobin's eyes widened in surprise at the suddenness of it, but he quickly responded, his hands instinctively finding their way to Yeonjun's nape. He pulled Yeonjun closer, deepening the kiss as their emotions flowed freely between them. The intensity of the moment left them both breathless, and after a few heated minutes, they finally pulled away, gasping for air.

Soobin stared up at Yeonjun, still shocked by the unexpected kiss, his heart racing.

Yeonjun, sensing Soobin's lingering surprise, lay down beside him and wrapped his arms around Soobin, pulling him close. "I'll find a way," Yeonjun muttered, his voice thick with determination.

Soobin didn't respond, instead burying his face in Yeonjun's chest, seeking comfort in the warmth and safety of the embrace.

A small smile tugged at Soobin's lips as he thought to himself, I'm sorry, hyung. I didn't tell you that I'm Soobin, your fiancé. Don't worry-I'll tell you soon.
