Connor: Thomas!

Tom was sitting in his room when he heard his father call him. He ran downstairs towards his father and looked at him.

Tom: Yes, father?
Connor: I need you to buy some things for Miriam...

Tom nodded, Connor handed him a list and Tom took 2 guards to the marketplace to buy what Miriam needed. Tom walked towards a vendor that sold sugar, flour. He started picking out what he needed when he heard yelling behind him.

Guard: Get away from the prince, you filthy Mut!

Tom turned around and looked at the guard. The guard had his sword at the throat of a boy, the boy had silky blue hair and his clothes were old and dirty. He had bruises and cuts on his hands and on his arms. Tom took a second to admire the boy, he had to admit that he looked... Cute?

Tom: What are you doing to him!?
Guard: this disgusting incorrect was getting too close...

The boy looked down. Tom stepped closer to the boy, he didn't understand why the guard had called him 'incorrect'.

Tom: why would you say that?
Guard: because.. he's gay

Tom glared at the guard, he pushed the sword away from the boys neck, and took a step closer. He looked at the poor boy and felt... Butterflies in his stomach?

Tom: what's your name?
Jake: m-my names Jake, your majesty...

Jake bowed in front of Tom, Tom felt a bit flustered as the boy bowed.

Tom: what can I do for you, Jake?

Jake blushed, he looked away from Tom's gaze. He looked down at the ground.

Jake: i-i was wondering if you could help me... Just buy something to eat? I haven't eaten in a really long time....

Tom blushed, he nodded and smiled. The guard looked shock, he turned to look at the prince.

Guard: But- your highness! What will you're father think if he finds out that you're helping Him

Tom had to resist punching the guard, he sighed.

Tom: my father wants me to help the underprivileged, it's fine.
Guard: But-
Tom: No buts! Now, Jake... I know someone who would love to help you!

Jake smiled, h couldn't contain his excitement, he eagerly ran towards Tom and hugged him. Tom was a bit surprised by the sudden hug, he blushed but eventually patted Jake's head. Jake pulled away, realizing what he had done.

Jake: I'm so sorry!
Tom: it's okay, but we should get going now..
