Halfway through my life , they say I am a beauty
Ignorant about this , I am a steadfast foodie

As time passes by , my shape changes crudely
They pass me by , some torment and some hurt me rudely !

I change again one day , spreading my wings freely
Flower to flower , color to color I enjoy and endure deeply

They chase me and caress me , they paint me and click me , saying oh so lively !
The way I thrived , all this while , do they know ... it's unlikely !

A lifetime passed , am content now , happy to breathe my last quietly
They move on to probe a new born like me , starting the cycle , saying what a beauty !
