Castiel had spent the rest of the two weeks of Dean gone in a depressed stupor, feeling as if there was something missing, that something wasn't right. Whatever was bothering him, he took it out on his co-workers, snapping and retorting at everyone with no mercy. The only problem was none of them fought back, none of them were Dean.

So, on the day that Dean was supposed to come back, he had gotten there early, sneaking into Dean's office. He took some files and laid them on the desk, scattering them strategically so it would be easy for him to fix, but a mess for Dean to look at. Finishing that task, he grabbed the desk chair and wheeled it out moving down the hall to lounge room, grabbing the uncomfortable plastic seats sitting around the table and dragging it back. A co-worker walked in around then, but didn't question him.

Then he took the books off the bookshelf and scattered them on the floor, desk, even one balanced on his flat monitor. Finally finished, he slid back behind his secretary desk, falling back into his work as he waited for Dean to come, fingering his necklace subconsciously.

He hadn't took the necklace off since he got it. Just the thought of not feeling the weight of it around his neck sending a sorrow through his heart that he didn't understand. It annoyed him to no end, knowing that he was stuck over something that shouldn't mean a thing to him.

It was when he saw Dean round the corner that his clutch on the necklace tightened, feeling an excitement stir in his chest. Finally, he could have someone to be pissed at who would actually retaliate.

Dean gave a blunt greeting, not even glancing at Castiel. The Novak was used to it, as his boss was never a morning person, which only made it easier to prank him. So, Castiel held his breath as Dean unlocked the door and walked into the office.

Castiel only had to wait a few seconds before Dean finally realized what happened. When he heard his boss shout his name, he giggled like a little girl, standing up and casually making his way into the office.

Dean stood among the clutter and the mess, a scowl on his face. It made Castiel feel giddy, having missed that angry face.

"Castiel? What the fuck is this?" Dean asked, arching an eyebrow at Castiel's pleased expression. The Secretary shrugged, unable to hide his grin.

"I fixed your office." He replied, matching Dean's stance. His boss huffed, grabbing the nearest heavy object, his paperweight, and chucking at Castiel's head.

The Secretary dodged it, not even flinching as the glass weight shattered against the wall. After all, this wasn't the first time it happened.

"You're going to clean this mess up, bring back my chair, and pay for another paper weight, again." Dean growled, obviously not in the mood to argue, though it only made so much more fun for Castiel.

"Sorry, I have a major thing I need to do. You'll have to either clean it yourself or wait until tomorrow." Castiel said with a smug look on his face, knowing that it would drive Dean crazy to not do what he says.

"No, you can clean this right now, Castiel. I swear to god, I am not in the mood for your bullshit today." Dean growled, turning away from Castiel. The Secretary frowned, tipping his head. What was bothering Dean that much?

"Why are so depressed acting today? It's not like you." Castiel asked, his curiosity getting the better of him. Dean let out a growled, keeping his back turned.

"Fuck you Novak. I don't have to tell you shit." Dean responded, shooting a glare over at Castiel.

"Don't get your thong in a twist, Dean. You don't want to get too excited." Castiel responded, an urging in his voice as he stared at the tense man before him. He had to admit, Dean was beautiful when he was angry.

"You know what, Novak? I'm going to beat the shit out of you." Dean growled, cracking his knuckles as he faced the Secretary.

Castiel grinned, having finally got a challenge he could enjoy.
"Do you think you can handle me Dean?" Castiel asked, a grin on his face that he knew infuriated Dean.

Dean answered him by walking over, grabbing Castiel and shoving his fist into his stomach. The Novak, despite the pain, found himself enjoying it as he doubled over, a breathless laugh leaving his lips as he retaliated with a punch of his own, squaring Dean in the chest.

"Wow, you actually hit harder than a fly can. I'm impressed." Castiel said, a smirk on his face as Dean scowled, grabbing him and shoving him back. The Novak stumbled over some of the books laying on the floor, crashing hard to the ground.

"You're one to talk, Cas. Falling for me already?" Dean asked, a triumphant look on his face as he stared down at his Secretary.

Castiel grinned, a sneaky idea popping into his head. "You wish, Winchester." He spat before kicking out, catching Dean in his leg.

Dean's leg collapsed and he fell forwards, landing hard on Castiel. The Novak let out a small gasp, feeling his air leave him as he felt the harsh jab of Dean's hip into his stomach.

"Moron. What made you think that was a good idea?" He heard Dean groan, his voice only inches from the secretary's ear. His boss pushed himself up so he wasn't laying on top of Castiel, looking down at him with umamused eyes.

"If it pisses you off I'll do it." Castiel said with a shrug, rubbing at his sore stomach. Dean sighed, shaking his head.

"Idiot." Dean grumbled, cuffing Castiel over the ear. The Novak grinned, staring at Dean with a smug look.

"You love it though. After all, who else would give you some excitement?" Castiel said matter of factly. Dean smirked, leaning down and letting there noses touch.

"You have a point there." Dean mumbled, letting their lips press together in a chaste kiss. Castiel let his eyes flutter close, letting that perfect mouth of Dean's lull him into a sense of euphoria, his hand automatically moving to cup Dean's cheek.

It only took a minute before they realized what they were doing and pulled away in shock, both of them speaking at the same time.

"Did you just kiss me?"
