Ch 4 - Rivals

After we got our starter Pokemon, we were then dismissed for today which we are able to explore the rest of campus.

As for me and Eiichiro we were chatting while walking our way to the dorms.

"Hah! It is so nice that I got into this school, it feels like I'm a newborn again." Eiichiro uttered.

"How do you even know what you felt like as a baby." I asked him.

"That's a good question! I don't know, I just felt like I'm a free person where I can start my new life like a baby who just started their life as well." He answered me.

"I see" so is this what it means to start a new, where no man is in control of you.

We walked for a couple more minutes then we arrived at our dorms.

We walked up near the employee to ask, if we could get the keys to our dorms which he politely gave it to us.

"Say Kiyo, can we consider ourselves rivals?" Eiichiro voiced out.

"Probably" I exclaimed.

"Then let's have our first battle with each other after we get to explore our dorms." He commented.

"Sure" I gladly accepted since I'll be having my first battle in this school.

"What's your room number" he mentioned.

"401" this number brings back memories of my past.

"Oh sheeeeesh, we're neighbors my room number is 402" he enthusiastically claimed

We stepped in the elevator then stopped on the 4th floor. We then proceeded to go to our room.

"See you later Kiyo" Eiichiro stated before going in.

"Yeah" I uttered.

I then proceeded to go in my room which seems to be 8 tatami mats wide and also utilities like the electricity, gas and water doesn't use our points which surprised me since the school gave us 100,000 points and doesn't even cost us a single point using utilities.

After hanging out in my room for a few hours. Me and Eiichiro decided that it is now the time to do our battle.

"Hey Kiyo" a knocking came from the door.

I opened it and saw Eiichiro having a really eager expression.

"Took you long enough" he said to me

"You sure seem eager wanting to have a battle with me." I mentioned.

"Sure am since I'll be battling my rival." he really is excited huh.

We are now leaving our dorms heading to the battle arena near Keyaki mall.

After walking for a few minutes we then arrived at the battle arena.

There only seemed to be few students in here probably because it is only the start of the year after all.

"Woah this is huge" Eiichiro with a star in his eyes.

"It is huge since this is probably where the school held its tournaments or events here." I exclaimed the reason.

"Let's go! Let's find a field where we can do our battling showdown."

Eventually we found a field to commence our battle.

"Kiyo let's say a catchphrase when we throw out our Pokemon like let's go and destroy their ass or something." he yelled at me.

"Sure"

A catchphrase huh, guess I'll think of something.

"1"

"Go"

"Let's gamble, treeko"

"Let's conquer them, froakie"

We both said something then our Pokemon came out.

"Treeko, get close and use pound"

"Froakie, dodge and use toxic spikes"

Froakie narrowly dodged the attack and the ground was spread with toxic spikes.

"Double kick froakie, treeko"

"Dodge it again and when you get the chance grab one of its legs."

The kick just grazed the cheek of froakie then froakie grabbed one of its legs.

"Now use pound to throw it at the toxic spikes"

"No you don't, use double kick to break from its grasp."

Treeko hit froakie with a double kick but was not able to entirely get out of it therefore it was hit with pound and got pushed to the toxic spikes.

"Treeko use absorb to counter the poison."

Treeko absorbs some energy from froakie

"Growl at treeko 2 times"

It proceeded to growl at treeko which made its attack weaker.

"Treeko get close then use leafage"

"Tank the hit froakie"

Treeko was moving sloppy due to the poison and it is getting closer until it hits leafage.

"Now use counter to finish him off"

Froakie got up then hit a powerful counter cause he got physically hit by super-effective move which made treeko faint.

"Good job treeko, you did your best." Eiichiro is saddened while putting it in its pokeball.

"Nice job froakie, you also can take a rest" I called in froakie to its pokeball.

"Good job Kiyo, It was a nice battle hope we can have another battle next time." He congratulated me.

"Likewise" I added.

We then went to the pokecenter in the arena to heal our Pokemon.

How was the first battle?

It seemed pretty good to me but also too short of a battle.

I'll try to improve my writing skills in battle so that it can be much longer to my liking.
