"Chay! Chay! Porchay Kittisawat! Are you even listening to what I'm saying!"

"Huh?" Chay raises his head from his phone and looks at Flower, who is giving him the most frustrated look he has ever seen on her. "Oh, yeah, yeah, of course, I'm listening."

"Oh, are you, really? So what did I just say?"

"Time's mother went to report him as a missing person."

"And?"

Chay frowns, was there something else that Flower said? His mind is full of Kim. He knows that it's bad and that he should be way more focused on his missing friend, but he can't control his mind. All that is there is Kim, Kim the serial killer, Kim's blood painting, Kim's rough and warm hands all over his body, Kim's lips—dangerous like a knife—bruising and bleeding Chay's lips but he wants, he needs more. Kim words repeating over and over again in his head—'You need someone who feels every emotion about you so extremely that it's tearing that person apart. You need extreme devotion, obsession, love... you need all of that because Josh fucked you up too much. Every single awful thing that he did to you broke something inside of you, so you need to know that there's someone who can make it all good again... I can make it all good again. You don't need slow and uncertain. You need fast and intense. You need me. The real me.'

What is the real Kim? Was it what Chay saw last night? Or was that just a short preview of what is waiting for Chay if he decides to enter something he probably won't be able to ever escape?

He shakes his head, trying to clear his mind and think about Time instead. After all, Time is his friend, and at this point, he has become a case. A criminal case... now, that's something Chay should know how to deal with, right? But he has to admit—he really has no clue what else Flower said.

So, he looks at her and shakes his head, "I... um... I don't—"

"But the police told her that he is an adult, university student, who hasn't been missing even for 24 hours..."

"So they did nothing for now," Chay sighs. "But," he tilts his head a little curiously, "did she tell them that he went missing after he left the 'apartment complex of death'? Chay puts the air quotes at the end. "I think that might have changed things a little, don't you think?"

"She didn't," Flower plops down on the empty chair right next to Chay, exhausted.

"Well..."

"Well!" Flower exclaims. "She doesn't know that our lovely neighbour of yours," Flower lowers her voice to a whisper, "is killing people left and right."

Chay snaps his head towards Flower, "hey, innocent until proven guilty, remember?"

"Well, he is definitely a suspect, duh?" Flower deadpans.

Oh, Flower, Flower, you don't even know how right you are. But Chay can't say that out loud. Even though he definitely should. He is ninety-nine point nine percent sure that Kim is the one killing people who have a connection to the apartment complex... maybe he even... maybe he even killed Josh, but Chay doesn't want to entertain that idea now. That's something he would need a lot of time to process, to figure out, and right now... he doesn't have time for that.
