I pulled away and took a step back severing the electricity that was brewing between us.
"Stop." I paused and looked at him. I don't understand why I am drawn to this man so much. It like there is a physical pull that I just can't break. Can't sever. Every time I try to cut it a new one forms.

"Okay. I understand." He looked devastated as he turned to walk away from me and pain erupted in my soul.

"7 o'clock." I yelled out. He froze and turned back around. "I'll meet you at Capri's. You're buying." He looked at me a small smile on his face.

"It's a date." He walked off definitely perkier than the first time. I internally groaned. What am I doing I don't want this. Relationships are messy. Dating is exhausting. I just finally got in a good headspace after Issac and yet her I am again letting another man affect my well being. I got back in my car and checked my phone. Before starting it and heading back home. Capri's is one of my favorite places to eat. It on the classier side of most restaurants in the area, I went on a self date about 6 months ago. The food was delicious but it was definitely a dress to impress kind of place with four course meals, classical like ballroom music and even a small little dance floor where you see a lot of older couple out waltzing and just having the time of there lives. I just realized he's probably going to want to dance and be 'romantic' but I can definitely say that will not be happening.

I got home and put away the minimal groceries I had when my phone buzzed.

"Hello."

"I'm sorry okay. Can you please stop being mad at me?"

"Fine. Plus I have a date." I heard two screams erupt from the phone causing me to pull it away from my ear. "Guys chill. Please."

"Okay okay details. When? Where? How? Why?"

"Who asked who? Was it romantic? Did he call? Text? Skype? FaceTime?"

"No guys it wasn't like that. Literally ran into him at the store. Told him I wasn't interested at first. He groveled and I caved. The end." I heard laughter in the back ground. "Tell Brent to shut the hell up."

"You caved you wimp." He hollered and I rolled my eyes.

"Anyways I have to meet him at Capri's later what should I wear?" If anyone had an idea it was Angel. She spends half her time here in my closet

"That red top with the off the shoulder rhinestone stones, your black slacks with the shear lace bits, and your black stilettos. Open toe not your court heels." I rolled my eyes.

"For the millionth time they were on clearance and a classic business shoe."

"It's the perfect heel for cruella da ville." Whatever. A black pump is a black pump.

"Okay. I gotta get ready I have a few things to do and I still gotta get ready."

"He's picking you up right?"

"No, I'm driving myself in baby."

"Girl whyyyyyy" Kylie whined.

"Because I am more than capable of driving myself. I get a free meal and an escape if things go badly."

"But what about when they don't go badly." She wiggled her eyebrows at me. I already knew that was off the table, but I made a pinky promise.

"Well, both vehicles have a back seat." I said just to please her. The squeals that came out of the speaker concluded that it worked. I knew damn well that wasn't happening with this guy any time soon. At least if I could help myself, I have no interest in being someone's first ever. That puts so much pressure on a girl. He doesn't know what he likes or what he's doing at all. Although I guess that also means he wouldn't really know if it was good or bad right?

"Hey! Earth to Liv!" I blinked coming back to focus on them. "Get off here and go get ready. Send me a pic of your outfit so I know if I need to change it. "

"I think I'm going to wear the red jump suit actually. The haltered one with the flare out bottoms. I just don't really feel like fighting with the straps on the other top." She rolled her eyes and groaned but agreed before hanging up. I sat in my chair watching criminal minds thinking about everything going on this week.

A buzzing sound caused me to jolt up. I FELL ASLEEP! I looked at my phone and it was almost six. I ran as fast as I could up the stairs and threw open my closet. I grabbed the red Jumpsuit stepped into it slipping the top around my neck. I forgot it was a bit low cut, so I grabbed a couple pasties to stick the top in place to make it less revealing. It was a very pretty outfit. I grabbed my strappy heels clipped them into place and ran to the bathroom. A little natural colored eye shadow, mascara, and lip gloss with do it. I pulled my hair out of the lose braids it was in and pulled half of it up into a loose semi messy bun, my curls making it look fancier than it really was. I grabbed my bag and keys and wabble ran out the front door. It took me a little over thirty minutes to throw all this together and now I have less than thirty minutes to get to Capri's for our seven o'clock reservation.

Me: Sorry, I'm running late! can you save our table? Thanx!

I start up my car and start booking it to the highway. The closer I drove to the restaurant the more nervous I got. Maybe I should have had him pick me up. I pull off the exit turn down the main road and into the parking lot. I found a parking spot that was pretty much as far away from the restaurant as you could get and started waddle running to the front. Fuck this shit. I paused slipped my heels off and ran to the sidewalk. Who ever invented heels go fuck yourself. I got to the sidewalk and my eye met those familiar blue pools and instantly any stress I felt vanished. Nerves were still there but slowly dissipating. He was looking at me but still talking to the hostess. He was wearing a black suit with a greet shirt. that fit him perfectly. His hair was neatly brushed to the side. He broke his eye contact with me and I took in his entire frame. My cheeks flushed as I realized the object that has caught my eye was starting to get closer. I quickly broke my contact and started slipping my shoes back on me.

"Hi." I smiled as he approached.

"A wise person once said to me, take a picture it'll last longer."

"Are you quoting me to me right now?" I laughed and his smiled grew.

"Technically im pretty sure someone else said it first." He grabbed my hands in his before placing a kiss on my cheek. "You look absolutely divine tonight." I blushed.

"You look really nice as well." He kept one of my hands in his as we headed to the table. There was already a bottle of wine, and some appetizers sat down waiting for us, along with a single blue rose with a blue ribbon tied around it. "How long were you here before I got here?"

"Not long, I called and pulled some strings, tried to get us as much privacy as possible without renting out the entire restaurant. I figured that might be a bit overkill?"

"Maybe a tad." I sat down across from him and looked around. The place looked really empty but honestly it was a Wednesday night so that's probably normal. I took in everything around me and looked back to Greyson who was pouring the wine for us. He handed me a glass, and I gladly took it. "Thank you."

"You took me as a sweet drinker when I saw the wine you picked so I did my best to match it for you." I took a sip. Oh my god.

"Wow. This is really good." I took another drink. It didn't even taste like alcohol this is dangerous. "Why me?" I took a piece of whatever the appetizer was and looked at him.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean you have been super persistent on this date, until you weren't. So why me?"
