: are you available on tuesday? it'll be my sixteenth birthday celebrationI sent my friends the address of our house in Clarixe for my birthday invitation. A lot of my friends agreed, some couldn't come. I only had friends in BGC since I lived and studied there.
rayleeee: i'm sorry, i couldn't come. can we go shopping or eating later?
Raylee messaged on the group chat. It was all girls. Me, Loren, Raylee, Trixie, and Patch. Patch was the neutral. Loren and I weren't always with them, and we barely even saw the messages in the GC.
: yea, sure, when?
rayleeee: later night? u guys avail?
loreñana: Yes.
trixiexy: yeeesss yeeesss yeeesss
patchupa: sureRaylee and Patch couldn't make it to Clarixe since it was in Quezon City. Their parents were strict, but Raylee was polite, and Patch was rebellious but hidden from her parents.
: what time later?
rayleeee: maybe 7:30 will do? let's ride a scooter later
patchupa: hindi ka nga marunong
rayleeee: so? i want to try, please
loreñana: meeting place?
rayleeee: uptown?I went to my parent's room to ask permission.
"Mom, dad, aalis ako mamaya, 7:30, kasama sina Trixie," I said, "okay," mom said.
I walked back to my, Gelo, and ate Trina's room and set an alarm at 6:30 before sleeping.
Later on, the alarm rang. I had a hard time to get up, but I remembered my girls, so I was suddenly awaken.
I did my normal routine when waking up or going home; brushing my teeth, taking a vitamin, and applying an ice cube on my face, I then dressed up.
I wore my khaki pants and a yellow crop-top jacket. I put my wallet and smartphone inside my brown and gray shoulder bag.
"Mom, dad, bye," I said.
"Bye, 'nak," mom said.
"Be safe," dad said.
"Saan ka pupunta?" Ate Trina said.
I turned my head to her, "bakit ka interesado?" I smirked.
"'La, mukhang tanga," ate Trina responded.
I just laughed and got out of my unit.
I took a bus on the way to Uptown and saw Trixie there, Raylee's best friend.
"Hey," I offered a hug.
She embraced it, "hi, long time no see."
I let go of the hug and looked at her, "long time no see? Next week lang tayo nagkita-kita."
She just laughed.
Trixie was the kindest and most patient in our group. She was a year older, turning grade 12 this school year, taking Humanities in Social Sciences. She and Loren were the most quiet, but their difference was Trixie was calm and just smiles at everything while Loren's brows were always furrowed.
Later on, we were already being complete.
"Ang tagal naman ni Raylee, siya yung nag-aya," Loren irritatingly said with her crossed arms and furrowed brows.
We were seated by the table in front of the fire fountain.
"Nakikita niyo yung bumubuga-bugang apoy diyan? Gan'yan yung ulo ko ngayon dahil kay Raylee," Patch said, "wait ka lang," I chuckled, and Patch heavily sighed.
