Alyssa Lynch

"Ahh there she is." Teddy grimaced, taking a seat on the stool closest to me. Drunk out of my mind, I didn't bother in moving myself across the room - nor out the bar itself.

With my fingertip drawing rings over the top of the glass containing the amber-coloured liquid, I mumbled back a reply. "Ahh, daddy dearest, ruined anyone's life tonight or is the world slowly healing?" I didn't meet his gaze, his low laugh was enough to irk me.

"I used to sit around here when I was your age too." He announced. Grunting, I responded,
"I couldn't care less where you sat." With that bold statement, he would've normally struck the commenter with his palm back at home, but right now, we were in a bar filled with witnesses.
Our father wasn't that sloppy.

He called for the bartender, demanding a glass of their strongest whiskey and quick service. The bartender scoffed, walking off to fetch the bottle of liquor.

"We have a problem." Teddy turned to me.
"No you have a problem." I corrected the man. "I'm just the eejit who keeps saving your ass time after time." I hiccuped.

"I need to pay off some debt, no big thing." He told me, though most likely lying about the last bit. "Then get a job and pay it off yourself asshole." I bit out, wanting absolutely nothing to do with him and his never ending debt issues.
"Please, Alyssa." He grabbed my free hand, wrapping the two of his firmly around them.
I shot back, releasing myself from his grasp.

"Touch me again and i'll stick this glass so far up your ass, you'll be shitting it out for the following few weeks." I warned Teddy, who laughed in return. "I'll take your word for it." He raised his hands up in defense. I heaved, shaking my head in disbelief.

"I've done a lot of shit throughout my life."
Tell me about it.
"I've made countless mistakes but having you, Alyssa, was not one of them." He sighed, taking a mouthful of the whiskey at once.

My shoulders slumped as I turned my head away from his direction, unable to bear what just came out of his mouth.

"Don't lie." I coldly responded. He shook his head. "I'm not lying Lysa, you were my favourite since the moment I layed my eyes upon you." Da wearily smiled, analysing the similar features we had shared. "You were my baby girl." My lower lip quivered as he continued speaking.

"If I could undo what I did to you, I would." Teddy swore, his fingertips moving amongst the half empty glass. "And to the others? Would you undo that too, if you could?" I asked, longing for a 'yes' to leave his tongue.

I waited.

"Do you really wanna know?" He asked me instead of giving me an answer, something tolerable to work with.
"No. You're supposed to say that you would, that if you could go back and not hurt them, you would." I pleaded for him to finalise his answer.
Da frowned. "I'll never care for them like I do for you." He announced, turning his gaze back onto the glass full of whiskey.

"Did you feed Darren that line too? Before he left, at least." I tilted my head to the side, struggling to keep myself collected.
"He was your mam's favourite, not mine. He was a pathetic excuse of a person who ran away like a coward." Da scoffed. "He didn't have the balls to stand his ground like a Lynch." He laughed before chugging the remainders of his liquor.

Despite my hatred for Darren leaving, I knew he had to go and escape the hellhole I am forced to call home.

"He stood his ground by leaving." I announced the truth he was so blind to see. "I hate that he left so much, but he left because of you!" I shoved my index finger into his chest, pushing him back a mere inch.
