Tenebrae was refreshing compared to the academy and Louis could not help but spin in circles as he admired the brightly lit city. Although he knew magic was powerful, he often forgot how much a person could do with it, like hiding an entire city within a forest. A grin was plastered across his face as he took in the various stone buildings highlighted with red and green ivy running along its walls.
Neon signs were scattered across the streets from various shops Louis could see and he admired the way the city twinkled in the moonlight. By all means, Tenebrae was just like any average rundown city that existed across the country but there was something different about this one, something was calling to him. Harry watched for a moment longer, taking in the true form of Louis that Harry knows he rarely allows people to see.
The pure joy and carefree childlike aura that surrounds him was intoxicating and Harry enjoyed seeing Louis let down his facade, even if it lasted no more than a few seconds. Louis' blue eyes met Harry's emerald ones and the dark warlock saw his companion start to rebuild the wall around himself once more.
"Are you going to give me a tour or are you just going to stand there and gape at me." Louis snaps, his eyes narrowing when Harry's lips form into a smirk.
"Don't pretend you don't like the way my eyes glide across your body. I see the shivers you try to hide." Harry teases, knowing exactly how to push Louis' buttons. Like clockwork, a scowl takes over Louis' face and the white warlock tries to refrain from sticking out his tongue in response.
Instead he raises his hand, lifting a ball of rainwater from a nearby puddle and sends it flying towards the other wizard. Harry's eyes flashed silver, the ball of water stopping an inch away from his body before it began to smoke, evaporating into air.
Louis huffs, rolling his eyes and crossing his arms over his chest like a petulant child. "Now, now deliciae, is that any way to treat your date." Harry clicks his tongue, shaking his head in fake disappointment. "And here I was going to bring you to a restaurant that has your favorite meal." Louis' lips twitched, his annoyance growing as the taller man smiled smugly.
"And what makes you think that you know what my favorite food is?"
"I told you not to underestimate me." He simply replies, taking Louis' smaller hand into his. The white warlock resisted the urge to yank his hand away and instead forced himself to intertwine their fingers. Louis doesn't respond while he allows Harry to lead him down the dark streets of the city, his eyes catching onto everything they pass.
It wasn't long before they stopped in an alleyway, in front of a tall dark door that blended into the walls surrounding it. The cliche peep hole popped open to reveal a singular blood red eye before a gruff voice followed a second later asking, "Password?"
Harry grins and bends until he's level with the peep hole, and the red eye widens before the hole is shut. Harry clears his throat and stands straight, Louis listening to the creak of the heavy door opening. Behind the door was a muscular bald man that was dressed in a black shirt and leather pants. He had a multitude of tattoos peeking from underneath the top of his shirt and it led up his neck to the back of his head.
"Mr. Styles, we weren't told you would be here. I'm sorry for the delay, it won't happen again." The guy stumbles over his words while he ushers the two warlocks in. Louis bit back his laugh, finding it funny how a huge muscle man like this guy seems terrified of someone like Harry. Harry waves his hand and takes his coat off, handing it to Hulk, who Louis named himself.
Hulk reached out for Louis' jacket but the smaller lad didn't miss the way Hulk's eyes narrowed when they connected with Louis. He slipped his jacket off and allowed him to take it, not breaking eye contact with the blood red rubies staring him down.
