This was the first Copollo fic I ever wrote. The version you see here is the edited one, because a while ago I did revise it since I didn't quite vibe with the OG as much, but it's still roughly the same!

Commodus threaded his fingers through Apollo's golden hair, letting them linger on the slight curls gently brushing the god's bronzed shoulders. He had his head resting on Commodus's lap, one leg crossed haphazardly across the other, as he hummed a light tune. Every unspoken word was as breathtaking as his voice.

Apollo reached up and lightly tapped at Commodus's nose, a playful sparkle in his vivid cerulean, golden-flecked eyes.

Commodus smirked and stole a quick kiss from the god's lips, a smile blooming at Apollo's startled yet pleased face.

His eyes wandered down to the god's throat, and he traced his fingers along Apollo's shoulder before lightly trailing down the god's neck.

Squeeze it, hurt him, make him hurt like he hurt YOU-!

"Mmh, cat got your tongue?" Apollo teased, flashing a bright grin as his eyes danced with mischief. Commodus smirked in reply and met the god's golden-blue eyes.

"No," he replied lightly. "Just the god laying on my lap."

Apollo's head tilted back as he laughed, revealing his throat once more.

Crush it, make him squirm, make him gasp for air as he BEGS for you to stop-!

Quick as a snake, Commodus leaned down and pressed a kiss to Apollo's neck, letting his lips linger for longer than necessary, before looking up through half-lidded eyes at the (his!) god.

"I feel like I need to let go of some energy," he grinned as Apollo raised an eyebrow, a twitch of his lips and the sudden intake of breath the only indicators of sudden exhilaration.

"I don't see why not," Apollo agreed coyly. "In fact, I think we could expend plenty of energy here..." he threw a wink at Commodus as he gestured around the lavish room they were relaxing in. The man laughed and pressed another kiss to Apollo's cheek as the god sat up.

Apollo pulled Commodus into a kiss, brushing a hand down the scruff around his jaw. In response, the man curled a hand into the god's hair, slightly tugging at the strands as he pressed hard against Apollo's mouth.

The god let out a slight gasp when Commodus nipped at his lips, and a cocky grin filled his face.

"Feeling vocal, huh?" He teased, feeling exhilarated as his breath mixed with Apollo's. "Guess that's why you're the god of music."

Apollo snorted, smiling as they both started laughing, noses almost touching. Commodus let himself be drawn into the kaleidoscope of Apollo's eyes. Blue mixed with an eye-catching gold, and that faint hint of green around the irises...

He knew gods were ethereally attractive, but Apollo had still caught him off-guard with his beauty and natural charisma, had drawn him in like a moth to a flame, and Commodus didn't care if he was going to get burned.

You will, you will and you will REGRET it all-

...and wish you could have it all back...

He hadn't often been complimented or appreciated as he grew up. His father, Marcus Aurelius, just loved to point out how disrespectful, how inconsiderate, how dismissive his son was...

But when Apollo had complimented him on his weapon skills, a playful glint in his eyes, the man had drunk it up and proceeded to meet the god at dusk, desperate for more-and eventually, for the god himself.
