Ling woke up to the persistent ringing of her phone, pulling her from a deep sleep. Disoriented, she fumbled for the device on her bedside table. The early morning light filtered through the curtains as she squinted at the screen, seeing an unfamiliar number.

"Hello?" Ling answered, her voice husky from sleep.

"Good morning, Dr. Kwong," came a cheerful voice on the other end. "This is James, one of the directors for the upcoming series, Secrets of the Executive Suite. We've reviewed your work and are thrilled to offer you the role of Dr. Fahlada. We believe you'll be the perfect fit for the character and would love to discuss the next steps."

Ling's heart skipped a beat at the news. The series had been on her radar for a while, and the prospect of working with Orm, her long-time idol, was exhilarating. She sat up, her excitement bubbling over. "Wow, thank you so much! I'm honored. I'd love to discuss the details."

James continued with enthusiasm, outlining the role and what would be expected. Ling listened intently, her mind racing with possibilities. "The shooting is set to begin next week, and we're planning a few key scenes that will require strong chemistry between you and Orm. We're confident you'll bring the character to life."

Ling could hardly contain her excitement. "That sounds amazing. I can't wait to start."

As they wrapped up the call, Ling felt a surge of anticipation and joy. The opportunity to act alongside Orm was a dream come true. She quickly got ready and prepared for the day, her thoughts consumed by the new role and the upcoming filming.

A week Later

The set of The Secrets of the Executive Suite was buzzing with activity as the cast and crew prepared for the next scene. The atmosphere was electric, filled with the soft murmur of conversations, the rustling of scripts, and the sharp clicks of camera equipment being positioned. Lights blazed overhead, illuminating the intricately designed hospital set, making it feel like a real emergency room.

Ling, in her role as Dr. Fahlada, adjusted her white coat, her mind focusing on the scene ahead. She had run through her lines countless times, but there was something more pressing occupying her thoughts—Orm. Playing the role of Earn, Orm was both Ling's co-star and the object of her growing affection. Ling felt her heart race whenever she thought about the time they had spent together on set, the shared moments of laughter, and the connection that seemed to deepen with every scene they filmed.

The plot of the episode called for Earn to be rushed to the hospital after accidentally consuming a banana, triggering a severe allergic reaction. The scene was crucial, not just for the storyline but for the emotional undertones it would carry. Dr. Fahlada, portrayed by Ling, was more than just a doctor in this scenario—she was Earn's confidante and secret love interest, making the moment all the more charged with emotion.

"Alright, everyone, let's get ready to roll!" the director called out, his voice echoing across the set.

Ling took her position near the hospital bed, where Orm was lying, looking pale and weak. The cameras were in place, the boom mic hovering just out of the frame. Ling glanced down at Orm, who gave her a reassuring smile, despite the scene's serious context. There was a mutual understanding in their eyes, a silent acknowledgment of the bond they shared. It was a connection that transcended their characters, touching something deep and personal.

The clapperboard snapped, and the scene began.

Dr. Fahlada entered the room with a sense of urgency, her expression a mix of concern and professionalism. She moved quickly to Earn's side, her hands deftly checking the IV and monitoring the heart rate. The lines of the script rolled off her tongue with a natural ease.
