Part two: How strange

It's been two weeks or so since Drew and Jake fought; everything was as normal as humanly possible. The music club didn't get treated like freaks; the “Dromies” no longer picked on the music club because Drew didn't bother with them anymore. Now with everything changing, there was one thing that didn't change, and it surprised everyone. That being Drew and Zoey's relationship, they were still together. It was hard to tell if Drew was just stupid and oblivious, or pathetic and desperate.

Millie and Sean were in the playground swinging on the swing set while Luke Zander Hailey and Jake were sitting at the benches well a third of the group was anyways.

“I just don't get it you guys,” Jake was laying in the grass at the park as he looked up at the skies with confliction written all over his face. “Why is Drew still with Zoey? I told him she was seeing another guy!”

Zander glanced down at Jake from the benches. He could only roll his eyes. Zander didn't understand why it mattered to Jake so much. “Why do you still care, Jake? It literally has been weeks since you guys talked.” He replies bleakly not caring for Drew's love life “He's probably just desperate.”

Jake sat up and rubbed the back of his neck. He knew there had to be more to it than that. “This is Drew we're talking about.” Jake glanced over at them with a concerned expression on his face.

Hailey could help but agree with Jake as much as she didn't want to get wrapped up in the “post-drakeup.” It was definitely strange that Drew of all people would be desperate for love. It didn't make sense. “Ugh, I hate to admit it but Jake might actually have a point.”

Jake was happy for a moment before he realized that Hailey had said he, "might actually have a point." He huffed and raised his eyebrow feigning offense “Hey what's that supposed to mean?!”

Hailey smirked and looked at Jake clearly amused with his little act, “When did you become so theatric?”

The banter between the two continued on while Zander simply shook his head in annoyance. Luke was left confused. He wondered if something had happened between Zoey and Drew to make him willing to stay with her longer. Then again Drew doesn't look as happy to be with Zoey as he used to. “It's odd Drew would choose to stay with Zoey… I don't think he's deliberately ignoring the fact that she was cheating on him.”

Zander glanced at Luke who was holding Zander in his arms. He took his purple sunglasses off and placed them on the bench's table. “I suppose you're right… I know I wouldn't be able to ignore something like that,” he shrugged his shoulders, “Although I doubt we'll ever know what's actually going on.”

Hailey and Jake spoke up at the same time, “Why don't we ask someone who would know!” They said in sync before turning towards each other with confused expressions on their faces.

Jake was thinking for a moment before speaking up again with a smug expression on his face while looking at Hailey “Heh, or we could just spy on him.”

Luke smiled awkwardly at Jake's idea while Zander looked baffled by the idiotic thought. Stalking Drew was something he wasn't even going to bother considering.

Hailey was now unimpressed with the utterly stupid idea that Jake had the audacity of considering. She slowly turned her away from him. “I've never been so ashamed to have sung with a person…”
