Delta’s POV
It is the day of the battle royal. I was quite surprised by how many well known bladers are participating, and I think I know a few of them? I'm not quite sure if I guessed their names right.
While I'm trying to figure out who is who, Valt calls for me and motions me to come over. Next to him are two people talking, well more like arguing who I think are Valt's friends. I have a feeling that Valt will introduce me to his friends sooner or later and I think today is the day. I silently sigh and approach the group. Once I arrive in front of them, Valt smiles and stands up beside me, he grabs my shoulder.
“Hey guys!” Valt grabs their attention, which it worked. “Let me introduce to you, my friend and used-to-be-my-student, Delta!” Valt then moves to introduce his friends to me and introduces them one by one.
“And Delta, these are my friends. This is Rantaro, you can call him Honcho and this is Wakiya”, Valt introduces a tall male with fair skin and blond hair, eating a lollipop, and the other male with blond spiky hair with purple clothes.
“Hey Delta! Nice meeting you!” Honcho said with a grin to which I answered with a nod. Before Valt can speak, someone interrupts him.
“So this is Mr. World Champion huh?” A voice came behind me, it was a male with fiery blue hair, violet eyes and wearing a feather boa. I know this person, this must be Lui Shirosagi. Behind Lui is a male with spiky yellow hair and dark emotionless eyes, Free De La Hoya. Wow, two legendary bladers huh? This is getting interesting.
“Hi Free! Hi Lui! Woww! It's been a while huh?” Valt said happily while Free just smiled softly and nodded. Lui looks at me with a grin, showing his spiky teeth. He looks at me up and down as if he's judging me.
And finally he spoke, “I’m looking forward to battling you, Delta Zakuro. Try making me entertained”, Lui smirks which I only answered him with a “sure”.
Then 2 people joined our conversation. They are a person with maroon coloured hair tied in a messy ponytail, and a person with blond hair and red eyes. “Hellooo~ it’s crowded here so we thought that maybe we could join in”, the maroon haired person said with a grin.
“Hey Aiga!! Hey Fubuki!” Valt said with a warm smile. Fubuki smiles softly and nods. Aiga looks at me. ”Nice to see you again Delta. I still remember that day where you stole my title, but this time I will get my title back!!” Aiga said confidently.
“We’ll see about that”, I said simply.
Then another person joins the group, a male with white hair and crimson eyes. I think I saw him before on TV. “Why is it so crowded here?” the person asked.
“Shu!!” Valt approaches Shu and hugs him. Shu smiles softly and hugs him back. They look really close, are they dating or something? I thought.
Honcho rolls his eyes and approaches them. He intervenes and separates the two. “Jeez. Stop being so lovey dovey you two”
Wakiya snickers. “Why Honcho? Jealous that you're still single?” Wakiya taunts which makes him feel pissed off.
“YOU ARE SINGLE TOO, DUMBASS!!”
“hey! That's not true! I-i have a girlfriend!”
“Ha! Really? Call her then!”
We watched Wakiya and Honcho fight. “Guys, stop fighting. Delta here will think you guys are dating or something”, Free said simply. Honcho and Wakiya blush a bit and look away after hearing Free’s statement. Lui laughs.
“Ha! Why would I like someone like Honcho? He is loud, stupid and doesn't know etiquette!” Wakiya said as he crossed his arms.
“How dare you call me loud and stupid Goldilocks!” Then they continued fighting and arguing. They look like a married couple not gonna lie.
Valt sighs, “just ignore them. They will stop fighting sometime”
“By the way, Delta, this is Shu. Shu, this is Delta”
We look at each other and nod. Shu holds his hand up for a handshake. “Nice to meet you Delta. I hear many things about you”
“Nice to meet you too Shu”. I accept his handshake and pull away after the handshake. Free look at the both of us and tilt his head. “You two look like brothers”
I'm quite confused. Me and Shu? Look like brothers? Valt looks at me and Shu closely. “Oh yeaaa! You’re right, Free! They kinda look like brothers!”, Valt said.
“I don't see why they look like brothers”, Lui said as he crossed his arms. “Honestly me too”, Aiga says after.
“Look at their eyes, dumbasses.” Free said. After hearing what Free said, I look at Shu’s eyes. His eyes are red, just like mine. I finally realized that we have the same eye color. But.. we are not brothers, we just have the same eye color. I sigh.
“You two look like a red eye duo!” Valt said.
“Well, make that a trio! Fubuki also has red eyes too!!” Aiga says as he pushes Fubuki so he can stand beside Shu and Delta.
“Hey!! Why am I also involved??” Fubuki asks while standing beside Shu and Delta. Shu only sighs.
“Wow!! The red eye trio! I’m jealous”, Aiga said with a fake sad expression. Valt grabs Aiga’s shoulder. “Hey! You have me you know??” Valt said.
“We have only 2 people. We are not a trio, we are a duo!! It doesn't feel the same!” Aiga crosses his arms. “Wait!! I knoww!! Honcho! You will be our third member!!”
“Nu uh! I’m a lone wolf. I work alone!”
“Honcho!!”
“Well I hope that someday, we have our third member” Valt said as he rubbed the back of his neck. In the background, we can still hear Wakiya and Honcho arguing. While the others were talking, I stole a glimpse towards Valt. Valt notices me and grins, he gives me a thumbs up. I sigh, I guess this is my life now. I guess it's alright if I call them as one of my friends.
