Weeks later
Gustavo POV
I woke up early on Christmas morning, feeling like a kid again. I can't wait to see the look on Blake's face when he sees the presents I had gotten him. I quietly got out of bed and started getting ready for the day.
But first things first, I need to start cooking breakfast, can't have my husband wake up to no food now.
I decided on pancakes, scrambled eggs, and turkey bacon-his favorite- . The smell of bacon filled the air, and I knew it would wake Blake up soon enough, that man can tune you deaf and not see a thing or smell anything to save his life but when it comes to food that's when his sense of smell becomes strong.
As I cooked, I started thinking about the gifts I had gotten. I had spent hours trying to find the perfect ones, and I couldn't wait to see Blake's reaction. I had gotten him a new watch, his favorite perfume, and a few other things I knew he had been wanting.
Once breakfast was ready, I started setting the table. I put out the good china and added some festive holiday decorations. I wanted everything to be perfect, seeing as it's our first Christmas together. Maybe we could even start a tradition together.
As I finished up, I heard the door of the bedroom open and close. I couldn't help but smile. My baby is awake.
As my baby came downstairs from the bedroom, rubbing the sleep from his eyes, a habit he's so fond of, I couldn't help but feel a surge of love and excitement just staring at him. He looked adorable in his festive holiday pajamas, and his hair was messy from sleeping without his bonnet, I keep reminding him but he never listens, we do have silk pillowcase especially his hair but he always ends up using my arm or chest as his pillow.
"Merry Christmas!" I exclaimed, trying to contain my enthusiasm, I'm just so happy. I never thought I'd be here actually happy about celebrating a holiday, with my significant other to be exact. When I had agreed to marry Bria, it was more of a contract to me. Just there to bare my last name and children. But look at me early in the morning, making breakfast on a holiday wearing matching pajamas with her younger brother, with a huge grin on my face and my heart beating faster than the speed of light.
He smiled, still looking a bit groggy. "Merry Christmas," his replied, making his way to the table, I walked to his side of the table gave him a peck on the lips.
I poured him a cup of coffee and handed it to him, along with a plate of pancakes and eggs. He took a bite, and his eyes lit up.
"This is so amazing," his said, savoring the flavors. "Your cooking never ceases to amaze me, I can't wait for the day you open your own restaurant and share your recipes to the world" he danced happily on the chair as he kept eating.
I beamed with pride. I loved cooking, and I especially loved cooking for Blake, he knew a thing or two in the kitchen but I'm just ahead in that aspect. He keeps asking me open my own restaurant but I just don't have the time to run a restaurant, especially with my work load.
He told me he didn't mind running it with me but I don't want to stress him, seeing as now he's working in Danny's firm as an architect of course and even if I wanted to open the restaurant, I don't have time to look over building plans and what not. My work load is a lot.
As he ate, I started bringing out the presents. I had gotten him a few small things, but his main present isn't even going to be given to him on Christmas, I couldn't wait to see his reaction but I guess it's just one thing I'll have to wait a bit for.
"Ooooo, time for presents!" He exclaimed, I watched him try to contain his excitement but he wasn't doing a good job at that, his eyes lit up, as he put down his fork. "finally!" He said, laughing.
