"But— but if would have known that—"

"You wouldn't have called every one of your potential judges a loser, crowing about your superiority in a song, culminating in you standing on top of them in a human pyramid?"

Karnak cuts her off.

"..."

"That did strike me as an unorthodox strategy..."

Ocean doesn't reply. She knows, deep down, that he's right.
Noel stares at her with pure disgust before she snaps

"What?!"

"What?? You just told your best friend that her best achievement in life will be to become an organ donor."

Constance flinches in confusion, glancing at me and then at Ocean. I just frown a bit.
"I'm usually more of a melody person, less of a lyric person-truthfully..."

She tries to defend Ocean. Typical.
"Organ donor"? Is that what you said?.."

I look at Constance with pity, ready to chime in, but Ocean speaks first.
"I was in the moment...sorry Constance, I didn't

"Aw, it's okay... it kinda really super hurts but-"
Constance starts but gets interrupted by Jane, who quickly walks up to her, stumbling in every single step.

"Do you want to know what I find that really, super hurts?.."
Her voice echoes around the room.
I gotta chime in now, or Constance will die of a heart attack.

"Maybe later, Jane, sweetie...?"
I say, reaching for her and taking her back to the little box she was sitting. I pat her head and take my steps back to Ricky's side.

"What I did there is exactly what you shouldn't do in this competition. You guys know I love you!"
Ocean frantically says before turning to Mischa.
"Mischa! I love you! I even pretended to believe in your imaginary fiancé."
She grins smugly.

"She's not his imaginary fiancé, Ocean..."
I say, trying to defend my friend.

"Yeah! She's my real fiancé on my telephone!"
He says angrily at Ocean.

"I... celebrate your culturally engrained alcoholism. The only reason why you're in the choir is because you stole 3 boxes of communion wine!"
She tries to argue.

"Okay, stop you two. It was his cousin’s birthday, its a tradition, whatever. Stop this, Ocean. We all know you don't give an actual shit about us."
I snap and regret almost immediately.
"...sorry..."

"You... Y/N..."
She sounds like she's holding a lot back.
"I love you...— you made me realise that not all quiet people are kind."

"Fuck you."
I answer annoyingly. Ricky looks at me, holding back a fit of giggles.

She runs to Noel.
"Noel! I Love you. You change my preconceived notion that all gay dudes are fun to be around!"

Noel sighs and looks away, clearly irritated.

Already losing hope and getting annoyed, Ocean runs to Ricky.
"Ricky, I love you! I got you into the choir even thought you couldn't talk and made everyone feel sorry for us.

Ricky blinks, and I look at her with an expression that says "unbelievable."
"Yeah, and then I rode that rollercoaster."
Ricky answers.
"Thanks."

I glare at Ocean so much. If looks could kill, she'd be dead. Again.
Uncomfortable, Ocean walks up to Jane.

"And her? Even this thing gets a vote tonight, huh?"
Jane looks at her, confused.
"Aren't you worried that she'll try to bring back her headless doll?!—"
Ocean looks to her back and flinches at the sight of Jane.
"But I love her!——"
She says, walking away from her, while Jane just tries to reach out for a hug.
I grab Jane's arm and pull her back to her place, making her sit.
