After that very eventful diner, we all settled down in the living room for dessert. Which surprisingly was a very delicious chocolate cake. Lucky Bastards, this lady was an amazing cook. I should probably consider making her give my mom some tips, since her cooking isn't really that great.
My mom and Rosa were engrossed in a deep conversation over some work problems. While, I was stuck next to Ariana who was checking her phone, and I was undoubtedly bored out of my mind. Milo still hasn't decided to come back downstairs which was starting to become a problem for me, since I couldn't pull any pranks on him while he was up in his room. There was just no way I would get away with what I wanted to do.
I could always go up there and annoy the hell out of him until he comes downstairs, but unfortunately he isn't that stupid, and I would probably come off quit suspicious. There was only one person who could only really help me distract him. She was currently sitting right next to me, checking her Instagram feed. Ugh, teenagers and social media these days. But again, who am I to complain.
Before I could makeup my mind on a plan B, Rosa decided to unknowingly help me out.
"Hey Ariana, why don't you take Tris up to your room and have some girl talk. I know how you girls these days always seem to have some type of drama going on." She said, making Ariana look up and glance at me, as if silently asking if I was okay with this new arrangement her mother had just proposed.I gave her a curt nod, and stood up. Very eager to comply to what Rosa said. She just made it easier for me to talk Ariana into helping me. Even though, she was Milo's sister I knew she would be pretty eager to help me. I mean sisters always want to get back at their brothers. I was pretty sure Ariana had a lot bottled up for Milo. He wasn't an angel, and brothers, especially older ones were always very annoying.
I followed Ariana up the stairs and into her room. As soon as she closed the door I plopped up on her bed as if I owned it. Lord, no wonder people say I'm rude.
"You know Tris, I find you very interesting." She said, plopping down next to me on the bed.
"How so?" I ask, genuinely interested, since this was never anyone's first impression of me. I barely knew Ariana, and for her to think I was interesting instead of a major bitch was very new to me.
"Well, you literally have the most confidence in the world, you don't take any bullshit from anyone, and you scare the shit out of most people."
"Most people, would also not find the things you just listed very interesting. Actually many people hate me because of that." I said, stating what I knew people normally always thought of me.
She laughed and smirked,
"Honestly those who claim to "hate you", especially girls at school, are just jealous of your looks. I mean you could easily pass for a model if you haven't noticed. Those who are scared of you find you intimidating because they know you can beat the shit out of them very easily anytime. Which,I honestly don't find as a bad thing. I wish people were scared of me; it would give me major power over them. Oh, and don't forget about the crazy protective parents that hate you, because they know their kids have very little personality and would follow a natural born leader like you anytime." She said, shrugging her shoulders as if what she just said was totally normal. But it wasn't, not for me at least. I mean, I would never believe that girls were jealous of my looks. If I was as hot as she just said, then it made no sense that I've never had a guy ask me out, or even harmlessly flirt with me. Not to mention the numerous times I've been called 'ugly' by the seemingly perfect cheerleaders. Oh well, I took care of the perfect part, with a nice punch.
Scaring people, was the only thing I could really believe honestly. I knew pretty well I scared the shit out of people.
"You know Ariana, your the first person to say something like that. It gets kinda hard to ignore all the shit talking I get from people, so I would have to admit that I really don't believe you." I stated, shrugging my shoulders nonchalantly.
