Hello! I've decided to make a story where it's almost reversed, Nezuko will not become a demon. However the story will be slightly changed otherwise.
---------------------------------------------------
NEZUKO POV :
I had just arrived home a day of gathering charcoal, not to mention helping out my family. I planned to head down the mountain to the local village to try and sell some charcoal.
I helped out a lot when it came to my family. They meant a lot to me, since the death of my father I knew it would be more difficult, therefore I wanted to help my mother and siblings.
It was around noon now, I decided to go and say goodbye to my family before setting off.
My mother told me about how dangerous my journey could be due to the harsh weather. I smiled softly and shook my head, "Thank you for your concern, but I'll be just fine! I promise." I said, assuring a calm tone to reassure her. I watched as her expression softened, a faint smile spread across her face.
"If you insist, Nezuko. But remember to put yourself first" My mother replied, Her concern meant a lot to me. She took great care of us, I couldn't ask for anything more.
{ TIME SKIP }
___________________________I had just left the house, waved goodbye to my mother and siblings and made my way through the deep snow. As I walked, I saw my brother Tanjiro. He smiled and waved at me. "Nezuko! Are you off down the mountain again?" He spoke, a warm smile on his face as usual. I smiled gently and nodded, "Yep! I've got a lot of charcoal today, may as well make use of it", I said positively. He kept his smile and happy attitude, he waved me off and wished me luck, "Goodbye Nezuko! Take care"
I made my way down the mountain towards the village, my shoes sinking into the deep snow on the ground. It was cold, but I had plently of layers on so I didn't think I'd be too affected. I liked the villagers down at the village and they liked me, they thought I was a good kid. But sometimes they think I overwork myself, I disagree. I say that as long as it benefits my family, it's worth the troubles.
I kept a tight grip on the handle so the charcoal wouldn't spill, by now I could see the village.
As I entered the village the villagers greeted me kindly. I heard many people who seemed happy to see me, while others were concerned. Often hearing things such as, "Nezuko! Good to see you again" or "Nezuko? Isn't it too cold?". I responded to them all politely, "I'm okay, it's just a bit of snow! It won't harm me"
I went on to sell the charcoal until I had none left, the sky grew darker as the moon rised and lit the dull and gloomy atmosphere. As I went to leave, Mr Saburo who was one of the villagers told me it was getting late. "Nezuko? Are you really going to head back up home now? It's dangerous!" I heard him call, I smiled gently and assured him. "I'll be just fine Mr Saburo, no need to worry about me!" But he insisted I stayed the night, and who was I to disagree his kind request?
I entered his home, he cooked for me. As I ate I thanked him, but asked him why it was so dangerous. He turned to look at me as he responded, almost a cold tone to his voice. "The demons come outside at night, you can't go outside at this time Nezuko"
I didn't understand, demons? Demons aren't real! That sounds stupid, I assumed maybe he was imagining things or was delusional, but I wouldn't tell him that! That would be cruel, I questioned his theory further. "Demons? Can't they just enter your home?" I asked, curious to how staying inside would help the situation given the topic on such brutal creatures. I noticed Mr Saburo face away, but answered my question. "Of course they could, but it's safer here. The demon slayers will protect us just how they have been doing for years, now go to sleep Nezuko."
