You know, now that I think about it, I started writing in the first place just to alleviate my own boredom.
To tell the truth, the idea of becoming an author popped into my head when I was around thirteen or fourteen years old, and, at that time, I did whatever came to mind without thinking much about the consequences.
In hindsight, I can say that I really should have considered the topic more, but, at the same time, I don't regret opening my laptop and publishing my initial work on this site under a different account.
Back then, I used to post chapters after chapters simply because I had nothing better to do, but after a while—with my studies starting to catch up with me and me not having the same amounts of motivation as in the beginning—I decided to quit for the foreseeable future.
Time slowly but surely passed, and I soon moved on to the ninth form without considering writing again. After all, I already had a lot on my plate, so why would I pay attention to something I had already failed at?
However, my perspective on that subject changed after I read one piece of literature—the product of the man they call the Cover Guy.
After reading his fanfic, titled Indestructible, I felt a fire literally engulf me from head to toe, and that feeling didn't leave me even when I got to the end of that particular story—it honestly felt like I had found what I had been looking for all this time.
Afterwards, through writing messages and interacting with people on the net in general, I was able to join a Discord server that allowed me to meet a number of people whom I am glad to call friends—or, at least, people I enjoy spending time with.
Braggski. As I wrote in one of my stories, which I updated last October, it was you, my friend, who helped me realize that I still wanted to pursue this form of art. In addition to that, I can't thank you enough for the covers that you make for me and others—they are really good!
ZuitheRedfox. I'm not going to lie—when I first read one of your fics, I felt like I read something only a true professional could accomplish. In fact, until that moment, I hadn't found any similar stories on this site that paid so much care and attention to the world and the characters in it.
MelonLegs. Not many people can write stories with the proper elements of a real tragedy these days, but you, Melon, are an exception to that rule. I know that sometimes you don't believe your stories are that good, but if you ask me, I'll tell you that you are one of the few gems in this place.
TheOneCutKiller. Compared to the people I mentioned above and those I associate with in various social groups, you and I haven't interacted that much. And yet, in spite of their apparent simplicity, your stories do manage to hit a certain niche that makes me nod my head. Stand proud, Okami. You truly are THE Akame Simp.
