Chapter 14 Finding the Lost Sannin.

3rd POV

After a few more days of intense training, Naruto was finally able to complete the first stage of the jutsu. Jiraiya was happy that his grandson was able to complete the first step of the jutsu. Jiraiya gave Naruto a rubber ball and told him to pop it just like he did with water balloon. Naruto tried to but he couldn't do it. While Jiraiya was helping, Y/n was gathering information about Tsunade. In an open ground Naruto was seen trying to pop up the rubber ball with Jiraiya sitting under a tree. Y/n walked up to the student-teacher duo. When Naruto saw him, he waved at him.

Naruto: "Y/n! Where have been for the last few days? I thought you went back to the village."

Y/n: "I was busy gathering information."

Jiraiya: "So did you get any info?"

Y/n: "Yeah, I found something. I got a lead from a bar, that Lady Tsunade could be residing in the town of Tanzaku."

Naruto: "So there's a chance she won't be there too right? Oh man If she isn't there it will be all for nothing then." He said sulking down.

Y/n: "Naruto, I'm pretty sure she is there. The Tanzaku town is infamous for being gambling town and from what Jiraiya-sensei's description of her. A place like that should be heaven for her."

Jiraiya: "That's a place where we could find a person like Tsunade. Good job Y/n." He said patting his on his shoulders.

Jiraiya: *to Naruto* "Well Naruto let's get going."

Naruto: "What about the training?"

Jiraiya: "We'll continue it later." He said as he packed his stuff and the leaf trio began to make their way to Tanzaku town.

On the way to Tanzaku town, Naruto had a question running around in his mind.

Naruto: "Hey Y/n, your the same age as me right?"

Y/n: "Yeah, but why are you asking?"

Naruto: "Earlier you said you went to a bar to the get the intel about this Tsunade lady right?"

Y/n: "Yeah I suppose..."

Naruto: "How did you got into the bar and Why did you go into the bar in the first place?" He asked, raising Jiraiya's curiosity as well.

Y/n: "Now I get why you're asking so many questions. Well firstly, I had my mask and hood, covering my face. Then I got into a crowd of people, going into the bar. Secondly, From my experience If you want to gather information about anything, get into a bar full of drunk people. Drunk guys spill nonsense but in that there's a chance they give out important Intel that a shinobi can use for his mission. Does this answer your question, Naruto."

Naruto: "You're so smart, Y/n. You thought of everything."

Jiraiya: 'Hmm, He has a unique way of thinking. This kid's future as a shinobi is bright as the sun.' He thought with a smile.

Timeskip

Y/n, Jiraiya and Naruto had finally arrived in Tanzaku town. As they were walking through the streets of Tanzaku, Naruto came across a booth with an old lady. The old lady offered Naruto a scratch lottery ticket. Naruto took it and won the lottery, surprising everyone. Naruto's drained wallet was full again.

Naruto: "He looks cuter when he's chubby, right Y/n?" He said holding his froggy wallet.

Y/n: "I'm happy, you got all of your lost money back. But don't forgot why we're here."

Jiraiya: 'I can't believe he won off of one ticket. He must have a knack for gambling. If only he was that sharp on his jutsu. But Y/n's right. We have to focus on finding Tsunade....Where should I begin my search?
She couldn't have gotten far in such short time. Better to find high ground and look around the place, if memory serves me right this town surrounds a castle.'
