it was the afternoon after an important game, at least for the girl.

the boy - that stayed after everyone else left the seats - was dozing off into a dream world that she could not predict the slightest.

walking out of the locker room and closing the door behind her since she was the last one she confidently walks towards the seating area, knowing he was still there.

usually her two friends would watch her games but today only one had the time, she would do the same for them if they had a game, an unspoken tradition among the trio.

she knew the two since the end of her first year, persisting her to be their friend, to help them but only one was there for that reason.

the other was simply there because he liked her, keeping the feeling inside him that she was his comfort person and she would always stay by his side.

and true to his intuition the girl always took care of him even to this day, she would explain him their homework before class and teasingly tell him the wrong answers when the teacher called him.

although that was the only thing she did where she showed a tinge of emotions, the girl was in a tight household hence the lack of it.

her brothers - one older and one younger - had a huge fight and wanted her to take a side. instead of doing what they wanted she begged her father to move to tokyo with her and attend the elite school.

she hadn't seen either one of them for over a year now and she didn't feel the need if she was honest.

walking towards the boy she gently nudged his shoulder as his head was tilted to the side, his eyes closed and his breathing even.

clicking her tongue she roughly pushed him to the side, watching as he fell on the chair beside him with a groan of pain, having hit his head on the hard plastic.

„cmon, the store will close if you don't."

the only sentence she said to him before turning around and walking towards the exit.

he quickly scrambled for his bag, still wearing the uniform from their school as he sluggishly walks besides her.

her phone pinged with a new message and she took a look at her lockscreen before gritting her teeth.

'you did good in ur game. looking forward to seeing more.'

it was always the same.

no 'how are you doing?' or a simple 'sorry for involving you in our fight.' no it was always that.

that shitty brother of hers thinks he was so good leaving not only their little brother all alone for some other country but also jina herself.

she could remember the fights she had afterwards with her younger brother who she was usually the closest to.
