The herd made their way up the dinosaur skeleton they used to come into the dino world. Buck dragged his feet, still hesitant about going to the world above. Frida and Diego walked with him, trying to lift his spirits.

"So long, big guy", he said as he stopped.

He took his knife and set it into the ground, doing what he could to say goodbye to Rudy and the dino world he knew. Just as he turned around, a familiar roar echoed through the cave. The rest of the herd hurried out of the cave, leaving Buck, Diego and Frida alone.

"Buck?" Frida said.

"He's alive!" Buck excitedly said.

"Buck?" Diego's ears flattened.

They knew with Rudy alive, there was no way he was going to go back to the world above. Rudy was Buck's only reason for being in the dino world. It was his natural calling to live down there was battle that large dinosaur, day in and day out.

"I... I got to... I mean..."

"Yeah", Diego nodded understanding.

"Besides, this world should really stay down here."

"I'm really going to miss you, Buck", Frida said as she nuzzled him. "Are you sure this is really what you want?"

"Someone's got to take care of him", Buck shrugged. "Take care of them, tigers."

"Always listen to Buck", Diego nodded.

"Be careful down there."

Frida licked Buck's cheek before turning away, walking back to the surface with Diego. Buck picked up his knife and cut the vines that held up the skeleton that connected the surface world to the dino world. The cave started collapsing, making everyone run. Once the herd reached the surface, they realized they were missing someone.

"Where's Buck?" Eddie asked.

"Don't worry", Diego smiled. "He's where he wants to be."

Everyone looked down disappointed that he didn't want to join their herd after all. It was going to be hard on them to lose a good friend. Frida smiled as she watched Peaches play in the snow for the first time.

"Ellie, she's just adorable", she said. "You sure are lucky."

"Maybe someday you and Diego will have a family of your own", Ellie smiled.

"Yeah, someday... I'm just glad Diego's alright. Look at him. I haven't seen him this happy in weeks."

Frida smiled as she watched Manny and Diego walk off to talk in private. Looked like Diego was back to his old self, no reason for them to leave anymore. Everyone smiled as Peaches watched the first bit of snow begin to fall around her.

"Frida..."

She turned to see Diego nodding his head away from the area with a smirk on his face. Frida blushed as she followed him into the woods.

"Everything okay?" she asked.

"I should be asking you that", he said sniffing her.

"Wh-what are you doing?" she asked confused.

"You're in heat. I can tell."

Frida looked away blushing. So mating season had begun. Was Diego ready for cubs? She froze when she heard what sounded like purring. Diego nuzzled her as he purred deep in his throat.

"Diego..."

She purred as she nuzzled him back with a smile.
