Wings Of Fire The Flames In The Dark

Prologue (6 years ago)

      22 Year old Moonwatcher sat in the center of the room, gazing at the polished looking egg by her feet. She had been sitting there for quite a while, hoping it would hatch right there and then.   "Come on little one, hatch." She whispered anxiously. With the one full moon coming up, she did not need her dragonet to read minds or see glimpses of the future.                                                       "Did you get a good enough look yet?" Joked Qibli, standing in the doorway of their home. They had decided together that a good home would be in the small town of Possibility, which it was.    "Qibli, what do we name it? We haven't come up with a name yet and I'm beginning to get worried-and we have to go visit Winter soon and... I guess I'm just... Overwhelmed, that's all." She sighed. Qibli nodded and walked over, resting his left wing on her back as he sat down beside her                                                                                                                                                                                  "Moon, You are amazing and we'll... Eventually get to the names part, we can tell Winter we can't visit him right now and I can help you not be overwhelmed, it is a lot... Being a parent." Moon had already thought that exact thought herself, multiple times.                                                        "Winter will be upset though, you know how he is, still mad at you, I still don't like when he snaps at you or Coyote." Moon said, a flashback of Winter glaring at her precious dragonet popping up in her head. "Mom?"                                                                                                                                    Moonwatcher and Qibli turned around to find their almost one year old dragonet, Coyote sitting in the doorway, whimpering.                                                                                                                                            "Honey, what happened?" Moon asked in a sympathetic tone, Coyote ran over, running into her arms. She then wrapped her wings around him, frowning.                                                                               "I-I sa-saw a... Monster.... He-he said he w-would..." Young Coyote trailed off, crying to heavily to hard keep talking. After a few moments passed, He calmed down, then looked up into his mother's eyes.                                                                                                                                                                          "You can name them Dusk." He suddenly said. Qibli tilted his head while  Moon stroked the side of his face. "Hmm?"                                                                                                                                                              "if it's a girl she can be named Dusk." Coyote repeated. Moon smiled.                                                      "I love it." She replyed.
