Coyote of course knew it was bad to sneak out- and of course he knew it was wrong to also do it in the middle of the night- and of course he knew he shouldn't be doing this- but Crimson mattered more too him, she mattered more too him.
He had chosen to sneak out right when Dusk's back began to rise and fall slower, so he knew she was asleep, but it had take him awhile for him to catch up to the her, especially when he was having second thoughts.
Was this the right choice? He remembered his father telling him that when he saw the one, the perfect one that he would sacrifice anything for, that he should chase after her forever- till he wins her. Which Coyote agreed with in many ways- but maybe not if he'd have to leave his kingdom to just tell her he had followed her. then when he repeated that thought, he found it very disturbing.
"Hey! Watch it!" Yelped a voice below, He then covered his mouth, his cover blown. Coyote spread his wings, catching a stronger wind current and drifted higher into the sky. "Moons! You scared me, Dareclaw, what are you doing here?" He gasped, while cocking his head down too glare at his friend. "Well... I saw you... Jump out your window... And I was, kinda- sorta... Maaaaaybe... Watching you and decided-since I was bored! To maybe...Follow you...?" He answered. Coyote rolled his eyes. "Well come on then, before anyone finds out!" He called, beating his wings harder to fly faster. "I need to catch up!"
"Uuh... Cotes?" Dareclaw said, far behind. "Who's that?"
Coyote twisted around only to see a dark object gliding along a slower air current, probably following him. "Snake tongues! It's Dusk! Come on!" Coyote yelped, panic then suddenly setting in. He began to fly harder as he saw the black square shaped object far away, tilt it's head up towards them, obviously seeing them catch speed. "Coyote, she knows we saw her." Dareclaw said, panicked, "Isn't she, like a... Assassin?"
If he was in the mood, he would have thrown his head back and laughed-since that was what he always said but right now, he could barely nod as he worried about his sister.
What would happen if they got caught?
