A car was being driven fast in the middle of the night, and here’s the reason. The driver was a blonde woman glaring at someone at her side. “How the hell did you accidentally stab yourself in the hand?” she worriedly said in an Australian accent, looking at the sad girl with a bleeding hand at the passenger seat of her car. “I was just trying to cook dinner, Rosé,” the girl in the passenger side said. “Lisa, you can’t even cook. "Why are you cooking dinner?” Rosé said to Lisa. “Well, I just didn’t want to eat takeout anymore,” Lisa admitted to Rosé, who went quiet. “I’m sorry if I bothered you when you and Suzy were on a date.” Lisa apologized. “Lis, you don’t need to apologize, Suzy was scared as I was when you called, plus you can call me for food, you know,” Rosé said, making Lisa smile a bit as they arrived at the hospital.
They entered the VIP room since they realized Lisa is the CEO of LM Industries, and Lisa thought it was unnecessary but didn’t say anything and waited for the doctor. The person who was going to be her doctor was going home as her shift had already ended, but she got a call. “What, Jisoo?” the girl said. “Sorry, Jenduek, but the boss called me to tell you that you have a patient to attend,” Jisoo said apologetically, and before Jennie could protest, someone took Jisoo’s phone. “Jennie, if you do this for our VIP patient, I’ll give you a higher raise, two more vacation days, and shorten your shift,” he said to her pleadingly. “Before I can answer that, why me?” she asks. “Because the wound is deep and you’re fast at tying stitches,” he said in a desperate tone, and in a minute, Jennie sighed. “Ok, I will, and I expect the thing you promised me,” she reminds him. “Of course, let’s plan it later,” he says to Jennie, who enters the hospital again. And as she enters, she stops in her tracks upon seeing the patient, and she has to admit she’s very beautiful. What got her distracted was when her friend Jisoo arrived. “I just wanna see who the patient is....Oh wow, that’s a deep wound!” was what Jisoo exclaimed as Jennie remembered what she’s doing there and went in.
Jennie first asked the question that needed to be asked, and Lisa was able to answer, “It’s a good thing that your friend was able to get you here in time.” Jennie said, “Yeah, good thing,” Lisa says, and Rosé and Jisoo noticed something but didn’t say anything. “You have nice hands,” Jennie blurted out and blushed upon realizing it. “You too,” Lisa says, amazed at how skilled Jennie was as she watched her stitch her hand up. She should be afraid of watching it, but looking at Jennie calms her down. After a minute, everyone stood up, and Lisa was given a cast since she’s not allowed to move her arm and will be back in 1-2 weeks. As the two walked away to their surprise, Jennie was joining them. “Oh, I was supposed to go home, but my boss told me to do this instead,” she said, and they looked at her. “It’s fine, my boss promised me a raise, vacation days, and a shortened shift, like, who wouldn’t deny that?” she added, making the two laugh. They parted ways, but it didn’t stop the two from looking at each other while that was happening.
As they got home, Rosé decided to order Lisa food and inform Lisa’s secretary about what happened. “Ok, Lisa, the pizza will arrive in 30 minutes,” she tells Lisa, and she sees her on the computer doing something. And as she got nearer, she saw that Lisa was researching the cute doctor, and they found out that her name was Jennie Kim, and she was the one of the two youngest doctor to have graduated from medical school. But what made them curious was why Jennie treated her, but those wonderings stopped as the pizza arrived, unknown to them. The doctor Lisa searched for was doing the same thing, as she was curious about who her patient was.
In the next few days, Lisa couldn’t help but visit the hospital where Jennie worked, to the point where she memorized her schedule. At first, it confused Jennie as to why Lisa kept visiting her, but she then got used to it, and they got to know each other more and more to the point where the staff at the hospital knew her already, and she also decided to invest in the hospital too as a thank you and an excuse to visit more. What she didn’t know was that Rosé has been following her as she got curious about where she goes, and it started when she decided to visit Lisa’s apartment to check up on her to find out she wasn’t there. She thought she was resting, only to find out she wasn’t there. She arrived minutes later, saying she was bored and walking around. Rosé accepted that answer but decided to spy since it was starting to be suspicious, so she followed, and she did not expect what she saw.
She saw Lisa and Jennie together, eating lunch after leaving the hospital. “So this is where she’s going,” she thought, then walked towards them. Lisa was surprised to see her. “Oh, hey, Chaeng,” she said calmly as Rosé looked at her amused expression. “Oh, so this is where you go when I thought you’re resting,” she tells Lisa, who blushes. “Don’t apologize; it’s understandable,” she says, making Jennie blush. “We’re just eating lunch and I can eat by myself,” she tried to defend. “Oh, please don’t lie, you were waiting for her,” another voice said, and it was Jisoo with another male doctor. “Hey Jisoonie and Hae-In oppa.” Lisa greeted them, and Rosé from there got an introduction and learned that the two doctors who arrived were dating, and she decided to sit with them since she was hungry. They talked till Hae-In left, and the four enjoyed talking to one another, and it felt like they’ve been friends for a long time.
The two, after eating lunch, decided to leave Jennie and Lisa alone since it seems they’re more interested in one another. After that, the four continued to hang out as they teased Lisa whenever she got jealous of seeing Jennie interact with Dr. Jongin, and the same with Jennie when she got jealous of seeing Lisa interact with Diana, her secretary (she didn’t know at that time), and they visited each other’s house. At the moment, Lisa and Rosé were currently hanging out as Suzy was busy with work. “So when are you going to ask Jennie out?” was her question as Lisa looked at her. “I can’t right now because she’s my doctor right now; just being with her is enough,” she told Rosé, who understood her reasons for why she hadn’t confessed. It was now 2 weeks, and Jennie finally removed the stitches. Lisa thanked Jennie and flirted with her for a bit before leaving, and as they said goodbye to one another, Jennie wondered what would happen tomorrow.
It has been 3 months since Jennie has seen Lisa, and it has bummed her out. She decided to give up until she heard the receptionist calling her, and when she arrived, she was a bit surprised to see Lisa holding flowers with a small smile. “Hey," she greeted her as Jennie crossed her arms but didn’t say anything, not wanting to make a scene. “Do you think giving me these flowers will make everything ok after you left with no explanation?” she said as the new people gasped while the people who have been there a long time knew and snickered. “No, I have an explanation,” Lisa tells her. “Let’s just talk, please,” she asks Jennie, who was secretly missing her nodded. “Ok” was what Jennie said as she walked away, and Lisa followed her.
They sat at the place where they usually eat, and they stared at each other before Lisa spoke. “Ok, I’m sorry that I didn’t contact you for a month. I had to fix the mess that happened when I returned to work and I was supposed to visit, but a lot of stuff happened when I was gone for 2 weeks,” she explained, but before Jennie could speak, Lisa continued, “and the other reason I didn’t visit you in the other months was that I didn’t want anyone to think that we had a relationship while I was still your patient, so that matter can be forgotten,” she said, finishing her explanation, surprising Jennie, who didn’t expect that as Lisa looked at her “and now I’m here to ask you on a date” she asks, looking at Jennie nervously, “You can reject me if you’re already dating someone already; it’s fi-.” “Ok,” Jennie said, interrupting what Lisa was saying. “What?” Lisa asked again, wanting to hear it. “I’m not dating anyone, and I accept your date,” Jennie said, trying to look serious, but a smile was trying to break, and hearing those words made Lisa smile wide. “Ok, when can I pick you up?” she asks. “After my shift at 8,” Jennie replied. I missed you, Lisa" she tells Lisa, who hugs her back. “I missed you too, Jennie,” she said, watching her enter the hospital before going to her car.
Their first dates went amazingly well, then it continued with more dates, which ended up with them officially becoming each other’s girlfriends and now engaged to one another. Lisa woke up first, looked to the peacefully sleeping woman beside her with a smile, and looked at the shiny ring on her finger. She knew a trip to the hospital would lead to finding the love of her life, and she felt the said person move. “Good morning,” Jennie greeted. “Good morning,” Lisa greeted back as they gave each other a chaste kiss. After that, they prepared for their day, and Lisa thought as she stared at her future wife that she couldn’t wait to spend the rest of their lives together in the next chapter of their relationship.
