Charity Case (Part 2)

On entering the Lobby of the SI the kids were all handed out their visitors entrance passes. "Hey everyone. I'm Kathy and I'm going to be your tour guide for today. Remember it is very important to keep your entrance passes with you as it is very important for the guards to know that you are a part of a tour group. With all being said I hope you guys enjoy your trip." After the tour guide had ended her speech she had finally noticed Penny in the group of kids. "Oh hey Penny.....this is your club ???.... that's cool." The other kids gave her surprised glances. "You are friends?", asked Mr. Harrington giving a weirdly tilted smile. "Oh yeah....she works here too but in the upper levels.", said Kathy. "If she works here then why doesn't she have a working pass like you do ?", shouted Flash. His jealousy filled the air. "Oh...she doesn't work with us. She works with Mr. Stark himself. She is his personal intern and hence doesn't need any pass to enter the SI. Family members including the Avengers and Penny do not require passes.", said Kathy...her voice unsure at Flash's sudden outburst. Every kid in the group turned back to look at Penny with surprise and a hint of guilt. "I said I worked here...you guys didn't wanna believe", said Penny under her breath. "So let's start shall we", said Kathy starting the tour.

And just like this after 5 hours the tour had come almost to an end. It wasn't terrible Penny thought. Yeah she did get visited by every Avenger but at least they didn't do anything more than sending smirks her way or placing an occasional hand or patting her head before waving at her teammates and leaving. She knew they won't do anything to land her into a false position. They just wanted to mess with her and give her a near heart attack.....which they were successful at....but Penny won't agree to that. The only people who didn't visit her once was Tony and Steve...and it did make Penny kinda sad....but then she mentally scolded herself for feeling so. They were busy people after all. Maybe they had work or meetings. She can't expect them to always stick around her at all times. But alongside that they were also successful in making her members.... specifically two people, Flash and Mr. Harrington jealous to the point their next actions were something Penny couldn't even believe.

Just as Penny was about to walk to where her group had assembled in the compound she was pushed harshly by someone making her fall on the ground. Her ankle twisted painfully as she let out a cry of agony. Holding her ankle she looked up to none other than Flash towering above her. Penny tried to get up only to fall back on her hands again...her leg unable to bare her weight anymore. But she was soon pulled up on her feet by Flash grabbing her collar and then pinning her to the nearby wall....but before Penny could call for help Flash was backed up by none other than Mr.Harrtington. Now both towering over Penny, their faces showed pure anger and jealousy. "What the fuck did you do to get this Special treatment huh ??", asked Flash. His expressions full of rage. "I didn't do anything asshole", Penny said. "Don't lie Parker and dare not use that tone against him", warned Mr. Harrington. Giving him a look of disagreement Penny said, "He swears and that's fine and I do the same and I have a tone ???". "Answer the goddamn question Parker", said Flash shoving her hard again on the wall. Moving her face forward Penny said, "Fuck off". And that was all that was needed for their anger to skyrocket. "Oh Parker do you think they want you huh ???....bold of you to assume anyone cares. You are nothing but a case of charity for them. Your parents died so they took pity on you. No one wants you here. Your parents died cause of you and now they are also gonna die cause of you", said Mr. Harrington..his speech laced in venom. Penny found her breathing getting fast and her brain processing his words....and even when she didn't wanna believe that she couldn't help but think that maybe they were true.....maybe she was in fact a charity case.....she wasn't anyone special then why did they want her??. "You're lying", whispered Penny. "It's the truth", said Flash smirking. And the next thing Penny saw was Mr. Harrington lifting his hand high up evidently about to hit her. Panicking Penny moved her face trying to shield from the hit only to have someone shove herself away from Flash's grip. Unable to balance on her leg Penny fell down but was caught midway by someone and was gently lowered onto the floor with her back on that person. Opening her eyes she was faced with Mr. Harrington laying on the floor with a bloody, broken nose and none other than Steve pinning him on the ground by his collars. By the gold watch on the hand still holding her she realised it was Tony who had broken her fall. Gently placing her against the wall Tony too stood up from his position in a hurry to catch Flash who was about to make a run and pinned him to the wall. And even though Penny hated the fact they now knew she was being bullied, she couldn't help but enjoy the view in front of her.
