CONFLICT OF INTEREST

"I am not asking you to marry me Taehyung. At least not yet." Yoongi replied, totally understanding the whole situation of the younger because he is not blind! He saw how Taehyung looks at Jeongguk, he saw how scared he was for Jeongguk when they were in the boat and he definitely saw when the sea demigod gave his father's pearl to the sky prince. So he isn't oblivious of what's going on between the two, at all!

"Yoongi we can't marry each other now or ever." Taehyung imagines his voice as firm and strong but it comes out like a child throwing a tantrum and he hates it.

The sea demigod stands up from his seat and starts to walk back and forth in front of the older until Yoongi grabs his hand. The two look at each other and for an unknown reason, Taehyung suddenly feels a little calmer.

"Will you sit and calm down. I am not going to force you to do something you don't wanna do Taehyung but I want to remind you that no one else has ever broken their fate."

"Yoongi I came to the camp to know more about Titans and the plague they sent to kill the people I love and not to be tangled in a mess like this. I can't be your chosen one...that cannot happen." Taehyung uttered, his voice defeated. Yoongi squeezes his hand as he pulls him down to sit beside him.

"But you know you are...and as much as we want to pretend that you are not, it will always come down to it Taehyung." Yoongi replied, feeling apologetic towards the other. Taehyung sighs, his mind is a mess. The picture of one demigod keeps flashing in his head and it's really torturous on his part.

"It's Jeonnguk isn't it? You' have fallen to the prince of the sky.. the most favored child of Zeus...your father's rival." Yoongi subtly reminds him of the fact he's trying to push behind his head.

"No! I'm falling for no one Yoongi!" Taehyung tried his best to deny it when he remembers how the two are constantly trying to kill each other. He knows Yoongi told him that he won't force him to do something he doesn't want to do but he's not sure what the underworld prince is capable to do against Jeongguk. He knows the Sky demigod is more than capable of taking care of himself but still, he doesn't want to give Yoongi more reason to go after Jeongguk's throat.

"You can deny it all you want Taehyung, but always remember your eyes tell."

"What? I mean what do you mean my eyes tell? My eyes tell nothing Yoongi. Stop making up things to make you feel better among all of these mess." Taehyung replied while averting his gaze from him.

"The only reflection that appears in your eyes...but you know what, never mind."

Taehyung wanted to ask the other what he means by that but since his head is already a mess trying to contain everything, he decided to just let it go.

"How about you? When are you going to go back to your cabin to tell Jimin that he has nothing to cry about?" he suddenly said.

Yoongi suddenly froze upon hearing the younger demigod's words.

"What do you mean?" he asked just to make sure he didn't misheard him. Taehyung sighs. He knows Yoongi probably didn't see Jimin leave with tears in his eyes and he's not an a**hole to tell the older about it if Jimin obviously didn't want the underworld prince to know that he was crying.

"I said, aren't you going back to the cabin yet? It's almost curfew time. I still have no energy to face the Harpies. I think I'm going ahead now." Taehyung decided to change the topic but Yoongi isn't having it.

"Why would you mention Jimin all of a sudden Taehyung?" he asked, his voice full of authority but Taehyung isn't falling for it this time.

"I guess now I understand why you're too kind not to force me in doing things that I don't like. It's not because you're being considerate to me but because you also want to protect someone else. I guess we're on this shit together until the end." Taehyung said when he realized that they're indeed in the same situation. Well, not as similar but both messed up!
