"Upon the hill where the stones are standing
And a little blue forget-me-not
Waiting for the stones to start chanting
So they can take me back to you, my love"
Izzy Walker yawned and stretched her arms above her head to release the tiredness and tension from a long day of working at her desk. Izzy loved her job in the admin block of a small military base in South Eastern Kentucky, but was eagerly looking forward to her imminent vacation in the UK. Satisfied that she had completed all her necessary tasks and left adequate instructions by way of a handover, she was now officially on vacation.
"Just think, Jeanie. This time tomorrow, I'll be in London England" she said to her colleague with a wide grin.
"You staying with that handsome uncle of yours? What's his name again?" Jeanie asked with a wink.
"Jeanie, you behave yourself girl. You know damn well what his name is" Izzy teased.
Jeanie dramatically threw her hand against her head and pretended to faint "Oh Captain Price, come an help out little old me and bring that husky British voice of yours, I need a savin" Jeanie said fanning her face.
"Damn Jeanie, you're a married woman. What would Pete say if he knew you were lusting after my uncle?" Izzy scolded, before laughing out loud.
"Can't blame a girl for dreamin hon. Maybe I should get Pete to grow a beard and learn how to talk British" The older woman said laughing. "Give him a smooch for me hon"
Izzy shook her head and laughed at her antics. "I'll only see him for a short while before he's deployed again. I'm gonna be staying with a college friend for the three weeks anyway" the younger woman replied as she gathered up her things, preparing to leave.
"Well sweetie, you have a great time. God knows you deserve a break. Just don't you go off landing yourself some handsome British hunk.......unless you promise to send me photos" Jeanie said with a cheeky grin.
"Jesus Jeanie, I'm having a vacation, I ain't window shopping for a man" Izzy scoffed before holding out her arms to hug her friend.
The two women hugged before saying their goodbyes and Izzy, with a massive grin on her face and bouncing with excitement, headed home to finish packing for her flight.

The following day, after a long tiring flight, Izzy arrived at London Heathrow airport to an overcast summers day. Even in his civilian clothing, uncle Jon stood out from the crowd awaiting the arrivals, so Izzy found him easily. Uncle Jon immediately pulled her into a warm hug.
"God love it's good to see you again" Price said as he stepped back and carefully regarded the young woman. "I swear you're the spit of your mother" he said with a faltering smile.
"Uncle Jon, you always say that. But thank you and thank you for picking me up even though you've gotta go early tomorrow" she replied with a bright smile.
"No worries love. Couldn't miss the chance to see my favourite niece in person" Jon replied grabbing her bags and leading her to the exit.
"I'm your only niece, Uncle Jon" Izzy teased as they made their way out of the airport and towards his car.
Over dinner in a city restaurant, the mood was warm and light-hearted as they caught up on each other's news, grateful for the chance to meet in the flesh and reminisce. Although they had a close relationship, they only managed to see each other in person a couple of times a year, depending on where Uncle Jon and his team were waltzing off to.
